TV show description:
Set in Big Sky country, this thriller TV show is based on the Walt Longmire Mystery novels by best-selling author Craig Johnson.
Walt Longmire (Robert Taylor) is the charismatic, dedicated and unflappable sheriff of Absaroka County, Wyoming. Recently widowed, Longmire is a man who buries his pain behind a brave face and dry wit. He’s known for his manners, strength, and old-fashioned approach. His dedication to the law and his passion for the great West make him a desirable lawman.
Victoria ‘Vic’ Moretti (Katee Sackhoff) is the newest addition to the sheriff’s office. Leaving the homicide division in Philadelphia after five years, Vic is still adjusting to dealing with the locals in her new town. Her playful relationship with Longmire holds a deeper connection that allows her to be his most trusted deputy. Vic is out to prove she isn’t a rookie and to show she is capable and loyal.
Henry Standing Bear (Lou Diamond Phillips) is Walt’s lifelong best friend and a local bar owner. Henry is a handsome and charming Cheyenne who is fiercely protective of his tribe and serves as Walt’s go-between with the reservation. Being a business owner, he is comfortable with progress and modernity while maintaining a connection with his past, unlike his close friend.
Deputy Branch Connally (Bailey Chase) is a go-getter with blind confidence. He has political aspirations that often motivate him more than solving cases. His resentment toward Walt’s outdated approach further inspire him to run for sheriff, especially after feeling that he is picking up his boss’s slack. He wants to bring Absaroka County into the 21st century, and he longs to update the sheriff’s station with the technology that other law enforcement agencies use.
Another deputy, The Ferg (Adam Bartley), is a big guy with the heart of a puppy dog. He is loyal, sweet, well-meaning and eager to please. A gifted fly-fisherman who knows how to hunt and fix things, The Ferg has a long way to go as an investigator. Even though he may not be a perfect fit for the job, he is no coward.
Cady Longmire (Cassidy Freeman) is Walt’s only child and an attorney with dreams of the big city. After the death of her mother, Cady has taken it upon herself to help her father get his life back together. She is keenly aware of his imperfections and is the only one not afraid to point them out. Her straight talk and sense of humor connect this father-daughter duo even though they both tend to drive the other crazy.

What do you think? Are you a fan of the Longmire TV series? Do you think it should have ended or been renewed for a seventh season on Netflix?
I really do not understand why A&E thought it was a wise move to cancel “Longmire”. Apparently they feel that reality shows and reruns are the way an Arts and Entertainment channel should go—hmmm, I find nothing artful about any of the reality shows that are currently showing and if I really wanted to watch reruns of “Criminal Minds”–well, I wouldn’t. I have given up on A&E with their current line-up of shows. BORING, BORING, and shall I say it again? BORING!!!
#LongLiveLongmire,PLEASE,bring Longmire back.We need him.Is about the only clern, decent, and good show on T.V. We have not had a good Western on T.V. like this one in a lot of years. And when i say that i mean Gunsmoke, Rawhide and lots more that i can not think of just now,but they were good clean shows. Just like Longmire is. So PLEASE lets help do what we can to bring him back. ATT. A&E T.V. and anyone involved in the cancellation of Longmire, stop and think, i know some of you have kids and grandkids, do you really won’t you’r kids… Read more »
Longmire is a great show. You should renew it and also you left us hanging. Longmire has a lot of viewers and it is so much better than most television shows on the tv. Over half of the shows on tv are junk,so bring back a really good show. You are going to loose a lot of viewers, I hope you care about your viewers.
I guess A & E feels that we need more reality shows about hillbillys and flashy shows with no content aimed at the 15 to 25 crowd. Longmire was one of the few shows that had good story lines, great cinematography, and excellent acting. I hope that another network is smart enough to pick this show up.
I believe you have cancelled a great TV series. You have made a mistake in cancelling Longmire.
THE MAIN CHARACTER ACTOR ROBERT TAYLOR WAS UNIQUE IN EVERYWAY HE CARRIED THE PROGRAM ALMOST BY HIMSELF-HE HAS MANNERISMS AS UNIQUE AS CLINT EASTWOOD DID IN DIRTY HARRY-FACIAL EXPRESSIONS AND THIS SHOW SHOULD NEVER HAVE BEEN CANCELLED-IT IS TEN TIMES BETTER THAN 50 % OF THE PROGRAMS ON TV NOW-WHO IS DECIDING THE RATINGS-THEY OBVIOUSLY ARE NOT INFLUENCED BY TRUE VIEWERS
Great show! Hopefully it doesn’t cancel — if so PLEASE
another group pick it up!!!!!!
Don’t cancel this show. It is one of the few shows on TV that my husband and I love!!!! It can’t be cancelled. We need Longmire!! We need to know what happened to Branch!!!!
This is one of the few quality TV shows currently on the air. It is ashame to leave the followers of this show wondering what happened at the end of this season. I’m sure there is a lot of material for the writers to come up with another can’t miss season.
Longmire is the best thing to hit tv since Saving Grace by cancelling it a&e had lost a lot of viewers.
What???? no more Longmire? I cant believe it. It is the only show worth watching these days. You just left us hanging …HOW RUDE! It should be renewed or picked up by another network!!!!!!!!!
Please don’t cancel Longmire! I love this show!
KEEP……it is a good show. Better than stupid reality shows or Real Housewives from hell shows….Please Keep it going.
Longmire is the best show on television they need to keep this series going
No wonder A&E is such a 2nd-rate “network”! They cancelled The Glades, out of nowhere, after a cliff-hanger, and now they’ve cancelled the best series they’ve EVER had! People in TV don’t seem to understand, they are their OWN worst enemies! They don’t have the vision of a fruit fly, only looking for “demographics”, while playing games with scheduling, and cancelling any show that doesn’t “perform” according to some arcane standard only they comprehend. When a program is ONLY on for a little more than TWO MONTHS out of the year, it’s HARD, if not entirely IMPOSSIBLE, to build an… Read more »
