“I will be emperor of the world.” Netflix has released a new preview for season two of Marco Polo. 

The historical series follows the adventures of the 13th-century explorer Marco Polo (Lorenzo Richelmy) as he travels along the Silk Road to the court of the great Kublai Khan (Benedict Wong). The cast also includes Amr Waked, Remy Hii, Zhu Zhu, and Tom Wu.

From Netflix:

Marco Polo’s epic adventure and extraordinary relationship with Kublai Khan continues – with the Song Empire in ruin and the Yuan Dynasty on the rise. Unrest brews in South China, driven by Song Loyalists who resist allegiance to the Mongol Khan. Loyalties will be tested. Power will come at a price.”

Season two premieres on July 1st.
