ABC expected Marvel’s Agents of SHIELD to be a big hit in the ratings but it hasn’t worked out that way. How will Marvel’s Agent Carter do? Will it be a success and be renewed for a second season or, will it be even more of a disappointment and be cancelled instead? Stay tuned.
On Marvel’s Agent Carter, sexy and smart Peggy Carter (Hayley Atwell) performs administrative work at the Strategic Scientific Reserve (SSR) as men return home from World War II. In her spare time, she goes on secret missions. The rest of the cast includes James D’Arcy, Chad Michael Murray, Enver Gjokaj, and Shea Whigham.
The ratings are typically the best indication of a show’s likelihood of staying on the air. The higher the ratings (particularly the 18-49 demo), the better the chances for survival. This chart will be updated as new ratings data becomes available — usually the next day, around 11:30am EST/8:30am PST. Refresh to see the latest.
5/8 update ABC has renewed Marvel’s Agent Carter for a second season.

Note: Note: These are the Live + Same Day Ratings which include “live” viewing plus delayed DVR viewing, up until 3am local time that same night. Ratings marked with an “*” are the fast affiliate ratings and will be updated with the Live+SD numbers when they are made available. Typically, networks get paid for C+3 ratings which includes DVR viewing within three days of the original airing when commercials are watched. Those numbers are rarely released to the press.
What do you think? Do you like the Marvel’s Agent Carter TV series? Do you think it should be cancelled or be renewed for a second season?
I love most of what Marvel puts out, but this show was not very good.
renew and expand repertoire at first wasn’t sure but bring back with more episods more than 13 please
save this great show! I love period pieces!
I think this is a fantastic show. But I guess this is typical as the best shows get cancelled over and over again. It kind of hacks me off.
Renew!!! Love the show!
RoscoLittle, You same about half illiterate, so maybe that’s why you don’t understand things. I never said anything about women hating me (as a gay man, I’m not overly concerned with how women feel about me, anyway.) Most women understand where I’m coming from. There are more women who hate feminism than who hate my message. Only 23% of women identify as feminists. It’s the first “equality movement” in history not to enjoy majority support even among those it claims to advocate for. Before you defend feminism, maybe do some research into its long history of homophobia, transphobia, misandry and… Read more »
To be fair, mate, if the extremists and alternative takes of anything were used as a reason not to attempt the core, best, part of it, we’d be set back several centuries. The Civil Rights movement for African Americans had Black Supremacy, the Pride marches in the UK had a tendency to ignore its female members in favor of their male counterparts, Christianity has so many sects flying around they’re as focused on converting each other as they are ‘heathens’. Just because there’s a lot of bad within, doesn’t mean that equality isn’t worth fighting for. Since this is a… Read more »
NOW, the National Organization for Women who was pushing the ERA in the 70’s, was quick to include lesbians, gays and women of color in their movement. They put that in their chater back then. Tumblr likes to point out that women of color do not feel like white feminists include them. That is not really a “long history” of anything. Talk Radio has been paid to demonize Unions, Feminism, Liberals, Gays, The Clintons and more recently Obama since Papa Bush lost re-election in 1992. The idea is to poison these words and to divide and conquer. This is the… Read more »
I love this show bring it back
Renew renew renew!
Breath of fresh air in a stale tv season.
Pllease, please renew. One of the best heroine series ever. Not enough of them. Peggy is sexy, smart and more than a match for male counterparts.
Please repeat the finale, if or if not renew3d. Enough said.
5he kind of girl you’d be proud to come home to any time.
This is a great show that needs to come back.
It should definitely be renewed!! It is a breath of fresh air!!!!!
Love the show. As it is set around 1948, the running jokes about women being treated as “less than” might bother some people but hey, Hayley is terrific. Perhaps the world is not ready for a woman to go slugging men around, but I find it refreshing.
The world has plenty of women who are constantly hitting men and think it’s okay already. I love Agent Carter, because the men she hits all have it coming and she’s equal opportunity: she’ll hit a woman who deserves it, too. I’m only replying because I’d be careful about saying it’s “refreshing” for women to hit men, since plenty of women these days already think it’s okay for a woman to beat on a man. I think you were just trying to say the show itself is refreshing, but it kind of comes across differently than I think you meant… Read more »
This needs to be renewed it could go in so many good directions. We need to know what happenes to Peggy. It’s such a good show. #saveagentcarter
I love this show!! It’s such a pleasant and exciting change from billions of procedural spin-offs!
The show has a feminist misandry tone into it. Now, if it isn’t misandric, I would have given it a chance.
I’m an egalitarian who opposes what feminism has become and I actually feel like Agent Carter has an anti-feminist tone. Peggy Carter is a strong character who proves her strength through actions, rather than by whining and feeling sorry for herself. That’s the exact opposite of modern feminism and its perpetual victimhood. The show does address sexism against women, but that was commonplace during the time period the show was set in. They could hardly just act like it wasn’t a fact of life back then. Peggy doesn’t engage in male bashing or misandry, she just goes about her life… Read more »
Yes
Exactly Travis. I don’t get what’s so hard to understand about that.
Agreed with you, Travis.
Although I call the people who have warped feminism to be anti-feminist; Agent Carter *is* a feminist, as in, she’s a woman who goes in, doesn’t hate her male co-workers because they’re male, expects to do her fair share of the work and be treated fairly in return. Nothing wrong with that.
Sadly, what you’ve described is the opposite of dominant feminist ideology and how most feminists act, these days. I know not every feminist hates men or sees everything with a kind of tunnel vision that doesn’t consider men to be human beings with any issues worth addressing, but those feminists who DON’T think that way are in the minority. They’re not in control of the movement and if they make it known that the way feminism treats men bothers them, they will be ostracized by other feminists. For example, just look at how hateful, mainstream feminists treat CH Somers and… Read more »
People like you are the ones warping feminism.
My dad has this problem. He think government workers are worthless. So anytime he visits any government office, things go bad for him. I think it is great that people choose service to country and I only have good experiences.
So, if you run you mouth less about how horrible feminism is, you would have less women hating you. You would have a really hard time finding your “extreme feminists” or whatever lame term you use is.
Peggy Carter is a feminist. Feminism is not misandry, and Peggy certainly isn’t “too strong of a woman to be a feminist”, as that is not possible. Feminism is not about playing the victim or self pity, it is about trying to achieve equality, which is often done by educating other people about why this equality is needed. Peggy wants to prove that she is just as good as her male coworkers, whether she does this through her actions or by talking to them, she is still educating people (both other characters, and the shows viewers), which you seem to… Read more »
Word.
This is the last time I’m replying here, because feminism is beside the point of the topic: Everyone here seems to agree that Agent Carter should be renewed, and THAT is the topic. The numerous replies in which feminists indulge in naive, wishful thinking and pretend that feminism is a benevolent force, while ignoring things like #KillAllMen, S.C.U.M., the redstockings, the many problematic writings and quotes from mainstream feminists like Jessica Valenti, Robin Morgan, etc, etc, etc, really amount to nothing but more feminist bullying. ANYTIME someone criticizes feminism, feminists refuse to take no for an answer. They refuse to… Read more »
