Craig Robinson enjoyed a nine season run on The Office, one of NBC’s trademark shows in recent years. But, how will his new series Mr. Robinson perform in the ratings? Will it last as long? Will it even make it to season two or will it be cancelled after a brief summer run? Stay tuned.
Mr. Robinson revolves around the lead singer and keyboardist (Craig Robinson) of a funk band. While waiting for his big break, he takes a job as a substitute high school music teacher. The kids think his class is an easy A, while Craig is moved to inspire his students. The rest of the cast includes Peri Gilpin, Ben Koldyke, Brandon T. Jackson, Spencer Grammer, Amandla Stenberg, Tim Bagley, and Meagan Good.
The ratings are typically the best indication of a show’s likelihood of staying on the air. The higher the ratings (particularly the 18-49 demo), the better the chances for survival. This chart will be updated as new ratings data becomes available — usually the next day, around 11:30am EST/8:30am PST. Refresh to see the latest.
9/14 update: NBC has cancelled Mr. Robinson after one short season.

Note: Note: These are the Live + Same Day Ratings which include “live” viewing plus delayed DVR viewing, up until 3am local time that same night. Ratings marked with an “*” are the fast affiliate ratings and will be updated with the Live+SD numbers when they are made available. Typically, networks get paid for C+3 ratings which includes DVR viewing within three days of the original airing when commercials are watched. Those numbers are rarely released to the press.
What do you think? Do you like the Mr. Robinson TV series? Would you like to see it cancelled or renewed for a second season?
I’m so upset that Mr. Robison was canceled! I’ve been waiting for the show to come back on. It’s been a long time since I enjoyed a new sitcom so much. Every single character was great and so funny. I hope another network picks it up. I don’t think you gave it a chance. I just watched a documentary about All in the Family. They said their ratings weren’t great the for the first episodes. Now it’s a classic.
writing was on the wall unfortunately for this show. Never wished ill for Robinson but I’m really in the mood for actual funny. Not the kind of funny that you have to work so hard to see. NBC, if your audience can tell you the jokes to the show before the show airs, that means the show is not fresh or original. If you rely solely on the cast not the writing, it means you don’t really have a show. And I must know a little about this subject because I have been very successful at picking a show that… Read more »
I love this show me and my wife had some great laughs.
What a waste of TV – Another copy ….. Nothing original – Not funny – this show is a poor copy of a half dozen other shows. Sorry, of course I only watched three episodes, that was enough torture for me…
okay, yes. This show is a Steve Harvey show copy/wannabe. And yes, the Steve Harvey show was funny and successful, at least for a few seasons so that is not a bad model to follow….that said, this show is NO WHERESSSS NEAR FUNNY! Nothing in the show is funny. It’s actually kinda awkward and predictable. Feels like I’m watching the Disney Channel. Wanted this guy to deliver us some laughs, but this one ain’t gon get it…
I love it!!! It’s so funny, witty and is a nice break from the reality smutt that’s taken over on TV these days. I’m also tired of drama, vampires, zombies, etc. Bring on the comic relief! By the way, the cast is awesome and very talented. I truly hope that NBC renews this show for several seasons!!
I agree!!!! This show is definitely a keeper. Can’t wait for season 2
