Created by Steven Bochco and Eric Lodal, Murder in the First follows a pair of San Francisco homicide detectives — Terry English (Taye Diggs) and Hildy Mulligan (Kathleen Robertson) — as they investigate murders that are connected to Silicon Valley wunderkind Erich Blunt (Tom Felton). Others in the cast include Mimi Kirkland, Raphael Sbarge, Ian Anthony Dale, Bess Rous, Nicole Ari Parker, and Steven Weber.
The ratings are typically the best indication of a show’s chances of staying on the air. The higher the ratings, the better the chances for survival. This chart will be updated as new ratings data becomes available.

Of course the network cancelled this excellent show. I enjoyed the cast and the plots. Much nicer than any of the other zillion crime series out there.

Please allow this show to return..Great casting, great writing, fantastic story line…Take half of these reality shows off and leave something as good as this on.Kept me on the edge every week. Loved it!
Love this series. The cast is great. I wish there would be one case per episode,however, because even if I DVR it, I lose the continuity if I can’t watch regularly. My husband and I really enjoy crime dramas, and this one is well done. Glad that it will be back 🙂
