Mr. Sheffield! Stars from ’90s sitcom The Nanny recently reunited for the birthday of their fellow cast member, Renée Taylor, Vulture reports.
The Nanny ran on CBS from 1993 to 1999. The series starred Fran Drescher, Charles Shaughnessy, Daniel Davis, and Lauren Lane.
On his Facebook page, Shaughnessy posted photos from Taylor’s 83rd birthday party. Taylor played Drescher’s mother, Sylvia Fine, on the comedy:
What do you think? Were you a fan of The Nanny? Do you think the cast should do some sort of reboot?
Loved the Nanny series. Never missed it and STILL enjoy the reruns. It was a superb ensemble cast. Wish we’d see more of Daniel Davis. He was awesome as Niles, the butler. He seemed to drop out of sight after the show ended.
I always liked the butler, Niles. Same with Belvedere. Butlers sometimes are the best roles. I like Fran though, read her Cancer, Schmanzer book too, pretty easy/good read. Show was cute.
