The ratings for Nashville were down once again last season and they weren’t very good. With this season, ABC will have enough episodes for a good-sized syndication package. So, will this year be the end? Will this drama be cancelled or will it be renewed for a fifth season? Stay tuned.
The Nashville TV show continues to follow the lives and careers of country music superstars Juliette Barnes (Hayden Panettiere) and Rayna Jaymes (Connie Britton). The rest of the cast includes Charles Esten, Clare Bowen, Eric Close, Jonathan Jackson, Chris Carmack, Lennon Stella, Sam Palladio, Maisy Stella, Will Chase, and Oliver Hudson.
The ratings are typically the best indication of a show’s likelihood of staying on the air. The higher the ratings (particularly the 18-49 demo), the better the chances for survival. This chart will be updated as new ratings data becomes available — usually around 11:30am EST/8:30am PST. Refresh to see the latest.
5/12 update: ABC has cancelled Nashville after four seasons. Details here.
5/26 update: You can see the rest of the latest night’s ratings.
Note: If you’re not seeing the updated chart, please try reloading the page or view it here.
Last year comparison: The third season of Nashville averaged a 1.34 rating in the 18-49 demographic with 5.16 million total viewers.
Note: These are the final national numbers (unless noted with an “*”). These are different from the fast affiliate numbers which are just estimates of the actual ratings. The final nationals are typically released within 24 hours of the programming or, in the case of weekends and holidays, a couple days later.
What do you think? Do you like the Nashville TV show? Do you think it should be cancelled or renewed for a fifth season?

PLEASE ,PLEASE,PLEASE,DON’T CANCEL NASHVILLE..THE BEST SHOW EVER ON TV
Do not take this off. Me and my family record this every week and enjoy watching it very entertaining good actors and great music
I really like this show. This is our mother-daughter guilty pleasure. We have a glass of wine and watch the show every Wednesday. My daughter is in her 20’s so it’s okay. I really wish they would re-consider canceling this show. Reminds me so much of Dallas, Dynasty and Knot’s Landing except with good music. 🙂
Please people go sign the petition to keep this show on air four another season !!

Please don’t cancel this show!! It is one of the best you have on ABC!
Finally we have a show the family can enjoy and they want to take it off,in don’t fall in the 49 age bracket my bracket is 65,I totally enjoy this show and love country music and haven’t missed a show please don’t take it off do whatever it takes to renew this
So disappointed!!!
The quality of programming on commercial television continues to deteriorate. ABC executives are allowing the 18-49 demographic to dominate the determination of the future of television shows while research shows that this segment of potential viewers is opting for online media. This is not an intelligent decision.
NOOO! your telling me that my all time favorite show is leaving??? Who do I have to constantly email for this not to happen, it’s one of the very few shows of television with substance and an interesting story, I actually cry sometimes. Don’t do it!!!! #saveNashvilletheseries
Noooo! This is my Wednesday crack, kill her off and keep the show going…i need this show in my life. Its my constant! And clean!!
love nashville great show and i think now alot of people pvr the show and watch later not a reason to cancel the only good show on tv jeez
I love this show! I downloaded and paid for hulu just to keep up with this since I work Wednesday nights. This show is amazing. Canceling it will be devastating. I’ve never ever heard of a show like this. With these plots, characters, and a country music scene. Canceling this for some murder mystery drama would be outrageous. Please dont.
