TNT has announced that they are moving forward with their new Dallas series and have ordered 10 episodes for the summer of 2012. Unlike the new Hawaii Five-0, the new Dallas will be a continuation of the popular primetime soap that ran for more than 10 years on CBS.
The new series will revolve primarily around J.R. Ewing’s son John Ross (Josh Henderson) and Bobby Ewing’s son Christopher (Jesse Metcalfe). When last we saw the cousins, they were pretty close but apparently times have changed.
Members of the former cast will be part of the action as well but its unknown to what extent. The original TV series characters who will appear in at least the pilot include J.R. Ewing (Larry Hagman), Sue Ellen Ewing (Linda Gray), Bobby Ewing (Patrick Duffy), Ray Krebbs (Steve Kanaly), and Lucy Ewing (Charlene Tilton).
The cable channel has launched a website to promote the new Dallas and included some early promotional photos. Here are a handful:

I cant wait for new DALLAS… Looks to be a good production with great casting and some proper shorelines and scripting… I think there is a gap in the tv drama schedules for a massive primetime multi generational saga and new DALLAS could be it……. Bring on the Oil Barons, Cowboys, hard drinking and Lip Gloss…….
