Although its demo numbers have been okay for The CW, The Originals TV show never matched the ratings for The Vampire Diaries. Now that the latter show has ended its run, will the spin-off pick up more of its audience? Will The Originals be cancelled or renewed for season five on The CW? Stay tuned.
The first spin-off of the wildly successful Vampire Diaries, The Originals stars Joseph Morgan, Daniel Gillies, Phoebe Tonkin, Charles Michael Davis, Yusuf Gatewood, and Riley Voelkel. Claire Holt and Leah Pipes guest star. The CW supernatural drama series follows the Mikaelson family, the world’s first vampires who have returned to reclaim New Orleans. In season four, the Mikaelsons are reunited, only to face an even bigger threat: the revival of an ancient evil with strong ties to their most vulnerable family member. After a devastating attack by this nightmarish entity, they must stand their ground and forge an alliance with those who hate them most: Marcel (Davis) and Vincent (Gatewood).
The ratings are typically the best indication of a show’s likelihood of staying on the air. The higher the ratings (particularly the 18-49 demo), the better the chances for survival. After all these seasons of fighting for family it leaves us all with almost the whole family separated at the last episode?! Wtf what kind of closure is that?!?! There better be a 5th season! So disappointed smh.
We all really enjoy Tne Originals. In a world with so much insanity, it is wonderful to take your mind off, the Goveronment, social security, Isis, cyber attacks , and all the other REAL insanity. We like the fact that it is NOT REAL,and never can be REAL. please keep The Originals on. It never gets
old.
I love this show!!!! I don’t miss episode I even got my friends watching it! I hope CW does another season because I want to see Klaus reunite with his daughter and just be happy.
I really have no Idea why that Show is still on the Air. I tried so many times to get in to it and gave up. I liked the originals when there where on TVD but they did not hold my interest standing alone and the ratings through all the seasons showed that IMO.
Never cancel the orginals they are the best tv show ever. My family and I always get excited when their on tv. Always and forever.
