What’s This TV Show About?
Airing on the WGN America cable channel, the Outsiders TV show follows the Farrell clan. High in the rugged hills of Appalachian Kentucky, this tight-knit isolationist family of renegades has lived atop Shay Mountain for over two hundred years. The Farrells are constantly at odds with those who live outside of their community. The cast includes Joe Anderson, David Morse, Ryan Hurst, Gillian Alexy, Kyle Gallner, Thomas M. Wright, and Christina Jackson.
Season Two Ratings
The second season of The Outsiders averaged a 0.21 rating in the 18-49 demographic and 772,000 viewers. Compared to season one, that’s down by 28% in the demo and down by 6% in terms of average total audience size. Find out how The Outsiders stacks up against the other WGN America TV shows.

Telly’s Take
WGN America is still pretty new to producing original series. Consider Salem, which was cancelled in December of 2016. Its third and final season averaged a 0.08 in the demo and 259,000 viewers. Similarly, WGN’s cancelled Manhattan TV series finished with a 0.03 in the demo and an average a total audience of 239,000. For now, I’m inclined to think Outsiders has a way to fall, before it is in real danger of cancellation. I’m okay with that. The Farrells look a bit too grimy for even me to eat.

We, too, are late to watching “The Outsiders”. Both my husband were transfixed to every episode. We are heartbroken that there will be no closure and/or a Season 3. It would be great to know who we can contact to share our disappointment.
Who leaves a season open with so many unanswered questions? Who will end up being Brennan? Will Hassell Farrell live to see his new baby born and start a new Farrell clan? Will Gwen’s baby survive and who will be the father who raises it? What happens to Wade? Will he go to jail? I need answers and at least 2-3 more 13 episode seasons!
I have totally enjoyed watching both seasons of the outsiders. I think it’s one of the series Iv seen in a
Long time . It’s a shame that people don’t really understand what good tv is . If it’s filthy sci-fi movie or something about people with superpowers They don’t want to watch it . I’m sad that there want be a season 3
My husband and I loved the first 2 seasons. He is late 60 and I am early 70’s. We was definitely looking forward to seeing the new season 3 episodes. DON’T KEEP UP HANGING….
We watched all seasons only to find out that there was no season 3, you left everyone hanging! Shame on WGN
Terrible decision, it is one of the best series I’ve watched and feel very let down as S2 left so many questions. I hope another platform buys it.

They could of easily made a third season start were u guys left off. too cancel the show befor accully finishing it and leaveing everyone on a cliffhanger is so unprofessional

How disappointing to have outsiders end the series as it did after season 2. It’s almost like they thought Season 3 was coming and when it was cancelled it was just too late and left us all hanging! Shame on you WGN!
