TV show description:
This crime drama follows a presumed dead former-CIA agent named John Reese (Jim Caviezel) who teams up with a mysterious billionaire, Mr. Finch (Michael Emerson), who’s also believed to be dead. Their goal is to prevent violent crimes by using technology and their own brand of vigilante justice.
Finch is a software genius who has invented a program that uses pattern recognition to identify people who are about to be involved in violent crimes — either the victim or the perpetrator. It was originally built for the government to prevent another 9/11 disaster but found that it was predicting less catastrophic, “irrelevant” crimes. Finch built a “backdoor” into the machine so that, before erasing the “irrelevant” data each night, Finch is sent the social security number of a person about to be involved in a serious crime.
Finch recruits Reese because of his special training in covert operations. Using their combined skills, resources and advanced surveillance technology, they work outside of the law to identify “persons of interest” and stop crimes before they occur.
Reese’s actions draw the attention of the NYPD — including homicide detectives Carter (Taraji P. Henson) and Fusco (Kevin Chapman). The latter is a corrupt cop and Reese blackmails him into being a source of information inside the department.
With infinite crimes to investigate, Reese and Finch find that locating the right person, with the right information, at the right time, can change everything.
Episode #103 — Return 0
Finch, Reese, Fusco and Shaw embark on one last mission to prevent Samaritan from destroying The Machine and cementing its hold over mankind.
First aired: June 21, 2016.

It is a Shame, Maybe it was told to cancel the show. For the exception of artificial intelligence, The Show is very much reality, Surveillance cameras, facial recognition, Every entity eg, Tax, Banks, Medical, Police and other institutions rely on Computers, databases and are all linked to the internet. A person with the permission and access can gather All the information they need, There is no need for hacking to get this information.
this show is one of the few that i never missed. now there are no cop type shows i watch. with a couple of exceptions we are clearly in an era that awards mediocrity.
I’ll miss Person of Interest. It tackled pervasive surveillance, the use of artificial intelligence on Ultimate Big Data, and did so without drowning the viewer in too much or too little detail (a difficult task to navigate the extremes, since it is easy to gloss the details into frustrating opacity, or to drown the viewer into subject matter expert levels of detail), suffused with the Robin Hood motif of taking on greater powers with unethical ideals while at an asymmetrical disadvantage in numbers and resources. But if the show was to go, it was better that it go after a… Read more »
disappointing!!!!
loved the show and the characters-very disappointed that it was canceled.
Too good to cancelled, please keep running.
Just when the show was at a splitting point you cancel the show the machine should have made more teens to fight more people and you could split it up like NCIS New Orleans in LA in the rest of that would have been great
Hooked on this show. Please don’t cancel it
No. it should not be cancelled. I loved the show.
Person of Interest is a Good show, It is a shame, There are a few good other shows that have been cancelled too, Not everybody likes the same things, It a shame that Ratings have to be so ridiculously high to keep a show going.
I agree. Person of Interest should not be cancelled. I like seeing the good guys win.
