Could Pitch have a chance on another network? Recently, FOX boss Gary Newman said he would be open to airing the TV series on sports channels, TVLine reports.
The baseball drama stars Kylie Bunbury as the first female player for Major League Baseball. The cast also includes Mark-Paul Gosselaar, Ali Larter, Mark Consuelo, Dan Lauria, Mo McRae, Meagan Holder, and Tim Jo. Season one of the show ended in December after earning lower-than-expected ratings.
As of now, FOX has not cancelled Pitch. Earlier this week, Newman said he’s proud of the show but doesn’t know about a season two yet. When asked about airing the show on a sports channel like MLB Network, the FOX chief said he’ll look into the idea:
We certainly would be open to it, but I can’t guarantee it. We have rights holders and profit participants and we always want to do what’s in the interest of them, but I think [MLB Network] is the perfect place to expose the show to the audience. I will look into that.”
What do you think? Are you a fan of Pitch? Do you think it will gain viewers on a sports channel like MLB Network?
Yes I just bought and watched on Amazon. I really liked it. Have MLB Network try it.
YES! YES! YES!
My family and I love this show. We looked forward to watching this each week. Please don’t cancel!
I love this show. Yes, I would watch it even if it moved to MLB Network.
Excellent show. Fox needs this show and more like it. Not everybody is a fan of the extreme super hero junk.
Hope Pitch returns for another season.
Best show in long time.
I love the show. I know I’m not the right demographic but I hope I count for something.
