Amazon UK has renewed the historical drama Ripper Street for fourth and fifth seasons. Season four is expected to stream in the UK later this year and season five will stream sometime next year. Filming will begin soon.
The episodes will be shown on BBC America here in the states but it’s unclear exactly when.
Executive producer Saul Venit of Lookout Point, said, “Keeping this series going for 37 episodes over five series is a hugely exciting achievement and is testament to the extraordinary creative results, as well as to the visionary teams at BBC Worldwide and Amazon as our core commercial partners.”
As you may recall, Amazon rescued Ripper Street and renewed it for a third season after the BBC cancelled the series. The third season of the series is currently airing in the United States. The eight episodes will finish airing on June 17th.
What do you think? Do you like the Ripper Street TV show? How long do you think the series should run?
one of the best shows . great acting and story line plesee continue
Excellent show, so glad it has been renewed. Looking forward to the new seasons.
This is an excellent show. Lots of action and the acting is top notch. Well worth watching from start to finish. I’ve watched 1-3 twice and season 4 once. Can’t wait to see season 5. Is it really the end???????
I enjoy this show, although now that Drake is gone, who knows how long it will run.
I agree with you, Tamara. I preferred Drake as second man to Inspector Reid, but I liked Drake the best and was saddened and sickened, with the way he died. I will probably watch the 5th series but could easily leave it ended at Drake’s death.
Superb drama!
