Does John Nolan make the grade during the first season of The Rookie TV show on ABC? As we all know, the Nielsen ratings typically play a big role in determining whether a TV show like The Rookie is cancelled or renewed for season two. Unfortunately, most of us do not live in Nielsen households. Because many viewers feel frustration when their viewing habits and opinions aren’t considered, we’d like to offer you the chance to rate all of The Rookie season one episodes here. *Status update below.
An ABC comedy-drama, The Rookie stars Nathan Fillion, Alyssa Diaz, Richard T. Jones, Titus Makin, Mercedes Mason, Melissa O’Neil, Afton Williamson, and Eric Winter. The story centers on John Nolan (Fillion), a small-town guy who, after a life-changing experience, decides to pursue his dream of being an LAPD officer. Now he’s the oldest rookie on the force, and the brass thinks he’s just having a midlife crisis. He’s got to keep up with his younger co-workers (not to mention young criminals) or he’ll risk lives. Maybe though, he can use the experience he’s gained with age, and the determination he has developed over the years, to make a real go of it. Either way, he’s got a secret weapon — his sense of humor.

Please renew the rookie. I think it is one of the best new programs on all of the TV channels. I used to watch NCIS New Orleans at that time slot now I don’t. I watch The Rookie
My wife , daughter and myself set down every week to watch this show . I think this cast is great , so many stories to tell about each character . Then you have the episode itself . Can’t wait from week to week to see how things play out . Also what new character plot twist will come about in each episode , great directing with an all star cast in my opinion . Can’t wait for the second half of season 1 and a premiere date for season 2 .
Love this show, look forward to watching every week. Nathan and the other cast have great chemistry. Please renew for 2nd season. This show is great!

The Rookies TV series is improving with each episode. “Time of Death” wowed me. Nathan Fillion’s skills in a dramatic role are way under recognized. I am a staunch fan of the Castle series, but I like Nathan in The Rookie even more than Castle. And, the entire Rookie cast is outstanding. Hoping The Rookie garners more audience and support in 2019.
My family are longtime fans of Nathan Fillion, and his work in The Rookie doesn’t generally disappoint. Unfortunately, the writing, character development, and supporting cast are so lacking we’ve all abandoned this show – it really is extremely disappointing. It’s enough to make me hope this show fails just so that Fillion might get a better project.
I love Nathan Fillion in Firefly, Castle and now The Rookie. The interaction between his character and the others is awesome. I record and watch later because it does come on so late. It would probably get better ratings if it were on earlier, but time will tell. I hope they continue to the 2nd season and beyond. 1 season is not enough to tell if the public really likes it.
I love Nathan and the Rookie is the ONLY show I watch on regular television! I absolutely look forward to many seasons!!! The cast is absolutely awesome! Wow whoever picked this group….. Excellent job! I look forward to seeing growth from each character…so many ways it can go! This show is not predictable at all! Which is what I want as a viewer! Keep surprising us! The Rookie is quite a strange character driven TV series! Not exactly a hard hitting police drama but more of soap opera type show. Each main character has some sort of problem either with other officers and/or other persons that they are involved with. It is very hard to not change the channel or not stop watching the show. There are no clear cut black and white police work because everything is complicated by feelings and how they feel! I love it very entertaining
I like it. My 10-year old son enjoys watching series with me and there are not many on air that have action without gore, adult language or intimate adult situations; I have no problem with PDAs – they are a part of real life – but it is refreshing to have characters having an adult relationship without making out heavily on screen. I hope enough of us viewers tune in to keep it going.
Yaaaaaaas so right I watch with my son too! He’s grown but as a mom I still don’t want to see those things with my children. Completely agree. That is one of the reasons I love this show as well!
My wife and I were skeptical when we say the previews of The Rookie and we weren’t sure what to expect. From what we have seen in the first two episodes, it has promise. I like it when a little Richard Castle comes out of the Officer Nolan character. I’m looking forward to watching more episodes in the future.
