Is it time for the handsome Doctor Rosewood to call it a day? The Rosewood TV show on FOX has been struggling in the ratings since it moved to Friday nights. Is the series still worth watching? Should it be cancelled or renewed for a third season?
Rosewood revolves around Dr. Beaumont Rosewood Jr. (Morris Chestnut), a calm, collected and incredibly charismatic, pathologist. He’s recruited by Miami’s homicide department and partnered with tough Detective Annalise Villa (Jaina Lee Ortiz). She’s annoyed by his constant optimism. The rest of the cast includes Lorraine Toussaint, Gabrielle Dennis, Anna Konkle, Domenick Lombardozzi, and Eddie Cibrian.
Last year, Rosewood performed decently for the FOX network, at least in part because it was paired with the very popular Empire series on Wednesday nights. It averaged a 1.34 rating in the 18-489 demographic with 4.79 million viewers.
This season, the ratings have been dismal. Relocated to Fridays, Rosewood has been averaging a 0.68 in the demo with 3.07 million viewers. Expectations are lower for Friday night shows but these numbers are poor even by those standards. It is highly unlikely that Rosewood will be renewed for a third season.

I love the show but think the captain needs his job back. This show has so much potential and they need to take the time to make it a hit

I really enjoy this show and hope that it is renewed. The move to Friday night was disappointing but I still make it a point to watch. I still cannot understand why networks feel the need to mess with success.

I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE Rosewood. This is one of the few shows I look forward to seeing on TV. The dynamic between Rosie & Det. Via is awesome!!. I love the entire cast & crew. I really look forward to seeing this show renewed for years to come. PLEASE DO NOT CANCEL!! Think about the little people who enjoy and appreciates a great show. I am definitely a fan
I’m such a fan of the show that I have recorded every episode. I even follow the cast on Instagram, so I totally agree.
Like it or not, ‘Rosewood’ has a serious built-in audience. I’ve stayed with it and reviewed it episodically, and I’ve noticed an increase in quality these last few episodes. FOX would be stupid to cancel this show… It’s not my favorite, but it has a passionate audience who would like to see it grow. It needs new writers, it needs to lose that yellow filter, and I’d love to see them actually shoo in Miami. Just because it does not get the same viewers since it moved time-slots does not mean it gets less viewers .People watch it on catch up or record it to watch later .Give it another season please .

I love the show. Maybe some people were like me and didnt know it was back till it was too late. I have been trying to catch up on all the ones I miss. You need to keep it and make sure we know where you r putting it come on be fair
I love the show. It’s fast paced and interesting and the cast, especially Morris Chestnut, is a great ensemble. Please don’t cancel it. Give it a better timeslot or send it to a cable channel like USA.
Rosewood is my very favorite TV show. Please, please renew it. The only thing that is missing this season is the flirting between he and Detective Villa. I would love to see them get together. Really not crazy about it being on Fridays though. But as long as it is renewed, I will watch it no matter what night it is on. I just love me some Rosewood!!!
