Is it time for the handsome Doctor Rosewood to call it a day? The Rosewood TV show on FOX has been struggling in the ratings since it moved to Friday nights. Is the series still worth watching? Should it be cancelled or renewed for a third season?

Rosewood revolves around Dr. Beaumont Rosewood Jr. (Morris Chestnut), a calm, collected and incredibly charismatic, pathologist. He’s recruited by Miami’s homicide department and partnered with tough Detective Annalise Villa (Jaina Lee Ortiz). She’s annoyed by his constant optimism. The rest of the cast includes Lorraine Toussaint, Gabrielle Dennis, Anna Konkle, Domenick Lombardozzi, and Eddie Cibrian.

Last year, Rosewood performed decently for the FOX network, at least in part because it was paired with the very popular Empire series on Wednesday nights. It averaged a 1.34 rating in the 18-489 demographic with 4.79 million viewers.

This season, the ratings have been dismal. Relocated to Fridays, Rosewood has been averaging a 0.68 in the demo with 3.07 million viewers. Expectations are lower for Friday night shows but these numbers are poor even by those standards. It is highly unlikely that Rosewood will be renewed for a third season.
