Last season, FOX paired new drama Rosewood with their highest-rated series, Empire, on Wednesdays. This time around, they’ve moved it away from Empire and relocated the series to Thursdays, an even more competitive evening for television. How will season two perform in the ratings? Will it be cancelled or renewed for season three? Stay tuned.

Rosewood revolves around Dr. Beaumont Rosewood Jr. (Morris Chestnut), a calm, collected and incredibly charismatic, pathologist. He’s recruited by Miami’s homicide department and partnered with tough Detective Annalise Villa (Jaina Lee Ortiz). She’s annoyed by his constant optimism. The rest of the cast includes Lorraine Toussaint, Gabrielle Dennis, Anna Konkle, Domenick Lombardozzi, and Eddie Cibrian.

The ratings are typically the best indication of a show’s likelihood of staying on the air. The higher the ratings (particularly the 18-49 demo), the better the chances for survival.
