Nobody’s safe. CBS has cancelled its Salvation TV show after two seasons. During the second season, which finished its run on September 17, 2018, the science fiction thriller’s ratings dropped significantly, so the Salvation cancellation has been expected.
A CBS suspense drama, Salvation stars Santiago Cabrera, Jennifer Finnigan, Charlie Rowe, Jacqueline Byers, Melia Kreiling, Ashley Thomas, and Ian Anthony Dale. The story centers MIT graduate student Liam Cole (Rowe) and tech genius Darius Tanz (Cabrera), who discover that in six months, a huge asteroid will crash into the Earth. In season two, the truth is out. Now that it is no longer a secret, the impeding threat will elicit both the best and worst from humanity.
Salvation: A Look at the Ratings
The second season of Salvation averaged a 0.33 rating in the 18-49 demographic and 2.67 million viewers. It was down by 36^ amd 24%, respectively, in comparison to season one, it is down by 36% and 24%. Check out how Salvation stacks up against the other CBS TV shows.

I loved Salvation and am sorry to see it cancelled. It seems like any show that makes one think, doesn’t make it. Only mindless dribble continues. I think the show had plenty of avenues it could have explored.

Dont invest yourself in a sci fi based show. Especially one with time travellers or even one ones with one word names. The critics dont like sci fi and for some reason one word names are against their liking. Even shows with magicians and are mystery type shows are out oftheir depth!!! Speaking of shows with one word names….Years ago there was a comedy show which did terrible in the ratings and they almost cancelled that!!! Salvation is my favorite Tv show, I am really mad/sad it has been canceled. I just cant belive such wonderful plot and characters are going to be forgotten.

This tv series is so exciting, we are watching it on Netflix and just literally can’t stop, each night we watch a few and totally in it all the while. I truly enjoy the constant high excitement, I just want to watch more!! Please, yes check international viewing numbers for it and yes please continue!!!

Yes there was! Alien space ship instead of a meteor! What a twist on what we thought was a disaster! One of the best cliffhangers!

Nooooo this can’t be! I’ve been watching season 1 and 2 on netflix and it was awesome! I never watch drama genred series but this one totaly sucked me in. The end is so unexpected i just HAD to look up when season 3 comes out! This news is bad, i realy hope they don’t give up on it yet! Sometimes series need to go international first to prove its greatness, wich i think is the case here. They certainly got my vote!
I really enjoyed this show. This is why I’m worried when I start getting into a program. You never know when a station may pull the plug. This has happened so many times. The last episode of Salvation was really a cliff hanger and I was looking forward to the next season.

Yes, the american tv intelligence is dumbed down and all they want is profanity and smut. Salvation was smart and entertaining. The creators should try to find another network to pick it up.
