In the irony of ironies, FOX has not given Second Chance a second chance. Buzzfeed News reports the network has cancelled the drama after one season.
The freshman series starred Robert Kazinsky as a resurrected cop. Philip Baker Hall, Tim DeKay, Dilshad Vadsaria, and Adhir Kalyan also starred.
After going through several title changes, Second Chance didn’t seem to catch on with viewers. Season one ratings averaged a .64 in the 18-49 demo and a total of 2.430 million viewers.
Kazinsky confirmed the cancellation on his Twitter:
Shame that @secondchancefox won't get a second season, even bigger shame that we heard about it online.

I really hate I didn’t hear or see any advertisements about this show before now!! I think it had a great storyline and the actors made it so believable! I think the producers should re-evaluate and due to the covid pandemic more people are at home; thus more viewers! But when you have something this good don’t throw it away… we want to see if Pritchard would evolve and plus as humans most of us are really grateful for a “second chance”… a do over … a chance to make it better. It seems as if all the shows with less filth are cancelled. Or should i say Hollywood garbage. I like this show. It had promise. bring it back please.

It definitely deserves a second chance I mean after all it’s called a second chance. Short and sweet but with so much meaning behind it. That’s all I have to say about this and who it all involves.
Best show. Not fair to end it like that they need to make the second season. Bring it back. Why Fox has to make the decision. Bring it back.

Oh my I wish I knew about this show before now. I would’ve watched it no matter what day or time. I shared with my husband and he finished the whole first season before me and in one day. My 20 yr old daughter also loves watching it and then my 17 ye old son said he wants to watch it as well. Please renew or allow more invites so ratings will be promoted!
I really enjoyed season 1. I hope a network would voice Second Chance a second did chance.

I think its sad that the ending of second chance was not completed, it would have been nice to see a proper ending. It does deserve a second chance to complete the ending properly. Don’t leave us high & dry. Please put it back on. Thanks
I just finished the final episode … went to see when there would be more because I was left out hanging and found out it was an old series that got cancelled… I really enjoyed it! Sad that there’s no more
