What’s This TV Show About?
Streaming on the Netflix paid subscription platform, Sense8 stars Doona Bae, Jamie Clayton, Tina Desai, Tuppence Middleton, Toby Onwumere, Max Riemelt, Miguel Ángel Silvestre, Brian J. Smith, Freema Agyeman, Terrence Mann, Anupam Kher, Naveen Andrews, and Daryl Hannah. The series follows eight people from around the world, who were born on the same day, and share a psychic connection. In the second season, the Sensates — Capheus (Onwumere), Kala (Desai), Lito (Silvestre), Nomi (Clayton), Riley (Middleton) , Sun (Bae), Will (Smith) and Wolfgang (Riemelt) –unite and dive headlong into each other’s lives, as they ponder their existence. Because Whispers (Mann) is hunting them down, the group needs to live together, fathom one another, and defend themselves.
On June 1, 2017, Sense8 was cancelled. There will be no third season on Netflix but a series ending special airs June 8, 2018. Stay tuned for further updates.
Telly’s Take
Unless Netflix decides to release streaming “ratings” it is always difficult to gauge the success of streaming TV shows, like Sense8, so let’s look at what we do know. The critical response to the first season of Sense8 was mostly positive. We’ll have to wait and see how viewers respond to the second season. After the show’s nearly two years on hiatus, will the audience still care?
While we do know the actors’ contracts lapsed, a couple of months ago Netflix reportedly reached out the core cast for a third season, and was in the process of re-signing them. So, it seems the internet streaming service is eager for me to go hungry, but does P.E.T.A. care? Well, my phone’s not ringing. I can tell you that much. I haven’t cared for a TV show in years. But this one I love; cancel? They would be insane..it’s the best thing on tv by a long way…don’t make us wait 2 years…a year is even to much!

I love this series. Season one started a little slow but by season 2 I couldn’t stop watching. I hope season 3 gets renewed. The characters and plot has become so addicting I can’t imagine they would stop here.
Sense8 has me hooked something fierce. I strongly hope for a season 3 and many more to follow. It’s a clever plot and all of the characters are spot on.

Sense 8 is a very captivating show. I continually look at certain episodes because of the drama or music. I love the music, it helps the storylines come across better. My favorite two Sensates are Kala and Wolfgang. Their love story was spellbinding. I hope that the show is renewed. Bring the Sensates back for more intriguing stories. There are too many unanswered stories. Thanks

Please let the production continue. The team and chemistry with the cast is amazing. I am very excited for Season 3 the stsrt filming.
Waiting until the summer of 2019 is obsurd. I’ll cancel Netflix as well if they can’t do better than this and definitely if they cancel the show. This show us awesome.
Great show, full of the emotional feels that i love so much. Hopefully there will be a season 3 late next year.
