NBC has had great ratings success with airing The Blacklist after The Voice, their biggest series. Will State of Affairs be a hit as well? Cancelled or renewed for season two? Stay tuned.
State of Affairs follows a top CIA analyst (Katherine Heigl) who assembles the President of the United States’ Daily Briefing (PDB), weighing the vital security issues that face the nation. She has a close personal relationship with the commander-in-chief (Alfre Woodard) as she was once engaged to the president’s now-deceased son. The rest of the cast of this dramatic thriller includes Adam Kaufman, Sheila Vand, Cliff Chamberlain, Tommy Savas, and David Harbour.
The ratings are typically the best indication of a show’s likelihood of staying on the air. The higher the ratings (particularly the 18-49 demo), the better the chances for survival. This chart will be updated as new ratings data becomes available — usually the next day, around 11:30am EST/8:30am PST. Refresh to see the latest.
5/8 update: NBC has cancelled State of Affairs after one season of 13 episodes.
1/19 update: If you ran the network, would you cancel or renew State of Affairs?
Note: If you’re not seeing the updated chart, please try reloading the page or view it here.
Note: Note: These are the Live + Same Day Ratings which include “live” viewing plus delayed DVR viewing, up until 3am local time that same night. Ratings marked with an “*” are the fast affiliate ratings and will be updated with the Live+SD numbers when they are made available. Typically, networks get paid for C+3 ratings which includes DVR viewing within three days of the original airing when commercials are watched. Those numbers are rarely released to the press.
What do you think? Do you like the State of Affairs TV show? Would you like to see it cancelled or renewed for a second season?
In the light of the recent horrific treatment of the poor Jordanian pilot by the ISIL, shows like SOA should continue to enlighten us. Don’t cancel.
Excellent show for how our world is now with terrorists
Very intriguing. Do not cancel but keep story lines accurate.
Love the show acting Is superb
Please renew
Yes, I really enjoy the acting, the actors, the story line. For my money I enjoy it more than Madam Secretary. I hope this show is granted a 2nd season.
Absolutely love it , gets better with each episode , much better than scandal !
The show is good, but it not better than Scandal.
Renew please
Please renew. Good show.
Great show! Give it a chance!
Great show! Pleae renew.
Move it to another time slot, whatever it takes.
There are plenty if us over 45 who are important viewers.
Definately re-new. This series is of the same high caliber as Madam Secretary, but is a more action-oriented, darker drama. at least one more season.
Love the premise of this show!
Please Do Not cancel this show!!!
Please don’t cancel State of Affairs. Its a good show. A bit grit to it and that os good by me
Hooked on this show. Intelligent script, good acting, edge of the seat suspense, graphic situations, current themes, and not a wasted word by any character. Might not appeal to those who don’t believe women in positions of power are capable of making the “Hard Decisions” or even that there are so many women in positions of political power.
I’m writing again — please don’t cancel this show. One viewer suggested taking a poll — that might be a good idea. This show represents what could really happen in this country and is an intelligent show. We need to have more shows like this on tv. PLEASE KEEP IT GOING AND DON’T CANCEL.
they take a poll every week – it’s called the Nielsen ratings, which stink
