TV show description:
This competition series follows contestants as they embark on a transformative journey to find a balance between mind and body as they work to “get strong.” Professional volleyball player and fitness expert Gabrielle Reece hosts the program.
Each looking to improve herself mentally and physically, 10 women from all walks of life work with 10 elite male fitness trainers. The contestants train in pairs and work to conquer a series of challenges that push them to their limits.
In each episode, the two-person teams train together and compete in multiple physical challenges that incorporate a number of formidable obstacles. The challenges put them to the test in the areas of strength, endurance and mental stamina.
As the contestants strive to dominate the courses and the competition, they see flab turn to muscle, doubt turn to confidence, and weakness turn to strength.
Each week one team is eliminated, and at the end of every episode, their transformational journey is shown.
At the end of the season, the winning team takes home up to $500,000.
Episode #10 – The Final Showdown
The two remaining teams are pushed to their absolute limits in three punishing legs of the Strong finals. Every ounce of mental fortitude and acquired strength is on display as they fight tooth and nail for the right to take home their prize money and be crowned the winner of “Strong.”
First aired: June 2, 2016
What do you think? Do you like the Strong TV show? Do you think it should have been cancelled or renewed for a second season?
They should definitely renew it! I enjoy watching it, it’s so motivating. I would love to try out for it! Hopefully they bring it back!
How sad. Shows like this are encouraging to people and making a difference in others lives. The ones on the show, their families, and the ones watching the show. The TV shows that are good for your mind and health don’t seem to last long before cancelled. These are the shows that should remain on. Our world needs to be healthier. This tv show was a step in the right direction.
Such a bummer… I was totally going to go on this show! Especially when I realized these chicks were struggling to leg press between 75and 125 pounds. I can leg press almost a thousand pounds, but I’m carrying around an unwanted spare tire. I wanted to go on the show and wreck face, get fit, and get wealthy to boot…sooo sad
