Is Supergirl getting a new villain? Deadline reports Odette Annable has joined season three of the CW TV series.
The DC Comics drama revolves around Superman’s cousin, Kara Zor-El (Melissa Benoist), who is sent to Earth as a child and raised as a human. The cast also includes Mehcad Brooks, Chyler Leigh, Jeremy Jordan, David Harewood, Floriana Lima, and Chris Wood.
In season three, Annable will play Reign, an enemy of Supergirl who plans on conquering Earth. Reign will reportedly be the main villain for the new season of Supergirl, which is slated to begin this fall on The CW.

Greg (Berlanti) and I have wanted to work with Odette for years. We are beyond excited to have her join our cast in the scary, powerful and heartbreaking role of Reign.”

Superfan of Supergirl. So happy to learn of another season. Strong female with a moral compass is quite refreshing. All the females in my family watch this show together. Chris Wood is a great addition as well. We loved the cross over musical with CW characters. We love all the crossover episodes. Watching Supergirl’s sunny disposition with The Arrow was quite entertaining. I hope this show has a long run.
Yes I’m very excited about season3 of SUPERGIRL. I hope there are many more seasons to come. I especially love the crossover episodes. I’d love to see members of team Arrow and Flash on Supergirl’S earth along with the Legends. Maybe have them meet her cousin Superman. Now that would be totally AWESOME!!!
