We hope you weren’t too taken with the story of young Bryan Mills. As reported, NBC has removed season two of its Taken TV show from the schedule. Now, the Peacock network has announced the second season will resume Saturday, May 26, 2018 at 8:00pm ET/PT. Note two things about that return date: the network is moving the show from the ICU that is Friday nights, to the hospice that is Saturdays, and the second season of Taken will not resume until after the conclusion of Nielsen’s May Sweeps ratings period.
An NBC crime thriller, Taken is a prequel to the Luc Besson film franchise starring Liam Neeson. The Taken TV series adaptation stars Clive Standen as a young, but already lethal Bryan Mills. The cast, which was retooled after a flagging freshman season, also includes Jennifer Beals, Adam Goldberg, and Jessica Camacho. The story centers on Mills, as he and his team undertake rescue missions around the globe.
According to NBC’s programming schedule, beginning Friday, May 20th Dateline NBC, which typically runs for one hour at 10:00pm ET/PT, will air from 9:00 to 11:00pm ET/PT. Meanwhile, the Taken show page, on NBC.com, confirms the May 26th return date.
In addition, Deadline reports: “Taken already was considered a likely cancellation, and the scheduling move makes that certain.” While the network has yet to confirm that it has cancelled Taken, don’t bet your grocery money on season three renewal.
Taken: A Look at the Ratings
The second season of Taken is averaging a 0.44 rating in the 18-49 demographic and 2.764 million viewers. Compared to season one, it is down by about 56% and 46%, respectively. By both measures, it is the lowest rated of NBC’s scripted TV shows. It’s really due to international sales that Taken was renewed for season two.

I was Taken back seeing that Taken was cancelled by NBC. To me it was up in the upper level of shows. I will sorely miss this series. Please reconsider and renew for season 3. Thank you.
Smart and entertaining so of course it was cancelled. One less reason to tune into nbc.
I loved this show. Love Clive Standen too!!! Every time this network gets a good show, they cance it. Might as well not watch anything they put on TV. Taken is an excellent show with great actors. Bring it back.

Renew it is a good show better then the fake reality shows
I really hope they don’t be cancel the show. I love it and I watch it on Netflix and Hulu all the time. I’m really hoping that they give it another full length season.
NBC wouldn’t Know A Good Show If It Them In The Face
When this show started, I did not think it would work for a TV series as it did for the three movies. But I was wrong. This show is EXCELLENT. Good scripts, good action, great cast. It’s a shame it’s going off the air.

I will no longer watch NBC because you get rid of good shows and leave us with all the out of date old shows. These shows should be canceled and let the new ones have more of a chance at better times!
Very disappointed that this show was canceled! I wish they would have followed up more about the season one finale and the old team. Still, I watch the show every week.
NBC does get rid of great new shoes and brings on shows that hold no interest. I really like this show & wish it would be given a chance on Sunday evenings with some of Season 1 cast added back in. It gave it more of a large team with multiple things going on similar to the new show “Swat” and never lost interest. The episode on the seed bank and it’s writing began strong, but lost interest half way thru although no fault of the actors;all due to writing and seemed weak at the end.
