Last season, The Goldbergs wasn’t a big ratings success but ABC renewed it anyway. This time around, the execs have given it a great timeslot — sandwiched between The Middle and Modern Family on Wednesdays. Will the ratings rise so that it will be renewed for a third season or will it be cancelled instead? Stay tuned.
Set in the late 1980s, The Goldbergs, revolves around a family from Jenkintown, Pennsylvania. Youngest son Adam (Sean Giambrone) videotapes his family’s craziness and provides commentary as an adult (Patton Oswalt). The rest of the cast includes Wendi McLendon-Covey, Troy Gentile, Hayley Orrantia, George Segal, and Jeff Garlin.
The ratings are typically the best indication of a show’s likelihood of staying on the air. The higher the ratings (particularly the 18-49 demo), the better the chances for survival. This chart will be updated as new ratings data becomes available — usually the next day, around 11:30am EST/8:30am PST. Refresh to see the latest.
5/8 update: The Goldbergs has been renewed for a third season on ABC.
Final season averages: 2.18 rating in the 18-49 demographic with 7.04 million total viewers.

Due to a Nielsen glitch, some of the early ratings of the 2014-15 season were revised a few weeks later.
For comparisons: The first season of The Goldbergs averaged a 1.7 rating in the 18-49 demographic with 5.06 million total viewers.
Note: These are the Live + Same Day Ratings which include “live” viewing plus delayed DVR viewing, up until 3am local time that same night. Ratings marked with an “*” are the fast affiliate ratings and will be updated with the Live+SD numbers when they are made available. Typically, networks get paid for C+3 ratings which includes DVR viewing within three days of the original airing when commercials are watched. Those numbers are rarely released to the press.
What do you think? Do you like The Goldbergs TV series? Do you think it should be cancelled or be renewed for a third season?
Love this show. Please don’t cancel!
The show is awful and perpetuates the worst stereotypes.
I love it!! Renew renew! Its like a modern day wonder years sort of. I love it. I loved the 80s . Its cute its funny its a keeper!! Thanks
Me and my hubby love, love, love this show, funniest show on tv in a long time.
no question , this is the best show on TV right now.’
My wife and I laugh til we are crying. Welcome back to the 80’s
I’m new to the Goldbergs and find it hilarious. Each show is a gem. I’m going to have to find all the past episodes. Please keep it in the same time slot.

Laugh tracks have got to go!! I cannot watch the Big Bang Theory, as without the laugh track after every line, it would be an 8 minute show. Of course I turn it off after the first line, that’s when I even try to see why anyone would find it funny.
My husband and I now tell everyone that The Goldbergs is one of our favorite shows. We enjoy the humorous but loving treatment of situations many families experience. While far from being prudes, we also find the lack of sleaze to be refreshing. And the absence of a laugh track makes us feel that someone trusts us to know when it’s funny.
I liked the Goldbergs year but now in the second season, I LOVE it. Maybe the characters grow on you (Beverly is hilarious!!!) but to me it seems like they’ve taken a “kinder, gentler” direction this year, and this still crazy, slightly less edgy, version is terrific. BTW I’m not really “from” the 80’s but the references are still lots of fun.
LOL – let me guess – a sitcom about a bunch of ‘semites’ gets renewed for another year by executives who are of the same ethnic and religious group despite it’s ratings not being very good? Boy, am I surprised!
JayKayDX that is not what the show is about. It is about the 80s and a family from the 80s and it is a great sitcom. It really funny and a great family show. It reminds me of of when I grew up since I was born in the 80s and grew up in the 80s.
Lol Sean goes to my school hes actually the sweetest kid ever
I hope they keep it for more seasons. I love The Goldberghs show. I think it is a really funny show and it reminds of the time I grew up. Cause I was born and grew up in the 80s. I love the 80s. I hope it’s renewed for a lot more seasons and episode.
My favourite show on TV!, comedy gold!.
Why in the world was this awful show renewed?
I so glad the show is renewed. I don’t think it’s awful at all. It’s a great and funny show. I hope they renew it for some more seasons. This is a awesome show.
Becuase people are enjoying it obviously!
Another reason I love The Goldberghs is because of the 80s music. I listened to 80s music all the time in the 80s and I still do listen to 80s music all the time.
I love the show The Goldberghs so much and think it’s so funny. I hope they renew it for a 3rd Season. Cause I can relate to it so much. I was born in the 80s and grew up as a kid threw the 80s to the 90s. I wore all the 80s clothes and still do some. I also watched all the 80s shows and Cartoons. And I went to the Drive In. I played with the 80s Toys that were from the Cartoons and all the 80s games. I loved the 80s and still do. Please renew this… Read more »
Another show I gave a couple of tries to last year and didn’t find it funny at all whenever I watched. More insulting to my intelligence. I will pass on this now.
Everyone has a different opinion but from my point of you the show is hilarious and I’m not from the 80’s.
For example “the karate kid episode” and many more episodes are fun to watch.
