The CW has pretty much struck out this season. Essentially all of their new dramas could be cancelled next month. So, how did their mid-season entry, The LA Complex, do last night?
This new TV series revolves around a group of aspiring performers who are pursuing stardom in Los Angeles. It stars a group of actors who, in real life, have already logged time on television — Jonathan Patrick Moore, Jewel Staite, Joe Dinicol, Cassie Steele, Chelan Simmons, Andra Fuller, and Benjamin Charles Watson.
Premiering in Ringer’s former timeslot, The LA Complex drew a pitiful 0.3 rating in the 18-49 demographic and just 646,000 viewers. That’s horrible. Compared to last week’s disappointing finale Ringer, The CW was down by 40% in the demo and and 46% in total viewers. Yikes.
The numbers may have been slightly affected by the fact that The CW made the pilot episode available online last week. They’re reairing the first episode tonight at 8pm in an attempt to attract some more viewers but that’s not likely to offset the inevitable week two decline. This one looks dead in the water already.
But, what do you think? Did LA Complex perform better or worse than you expected? Do you think the ratings will improve or decline further? How long will The CW stick with it?

I think The LA Complex is a GREAT SHOW!! The storylines and characters are so very well developed, and their struggles are so very real. Anyone who has ever persued entertainment in Los Angeles knows these things occur everyday, ALL DAY!! The low ratings are all on The CW, they never mentioned the show until 3 weeks before the show aired. Shame shame..
I MISS TOM WELLING! I do not watch over CW by the end of Smallville.
I watched the entire premiere and, man, it wasn’t that great. I didn’t care about Abby vomiting on her favorite director, the junior rapper guy risking his job trying to make it big, the EXTREMELY UNFUNNY comic not realizing that real comedy comes from pain and that he should use that… the only characters I cared about were Kaylee — I mean, Raquel — and the Australian(British?) dude, both of whom are pictured above. I thought the super-nice blond dancer girl was the best one at her audition and the fact that she didn’t get picked didn’t feel realistic to… Read more »
I have no sympathy for the CW at all. They did this to themselves.
whatevs, CW is a *****, they even did not campaign for this LA complex show, which is actually pretty cool!! what to say about Ringer? surprised they runned it to the finale with such low rating for all the season. im happy cuz i loved the show but i dont appreciate the fact that the finale was not a finale but a hope for a second season which is never going to happen
I agree
