Meredith Vieira is staying in daytime. NBCUniversal Domestic Television Distribution has announced that The Meredith Vieira Show has been renewed for a second season.
As was the case with The Queen Latifah Show and Katie (since cancelled), Vieira’s talk show was sold as a two-year package. Unless the series tanked out of the gate, the renewal was pretty much already a done deal.
Here are the details:

What do you think? Do you like The Meredith Vieira Show? Will you be watching season two?
I have always liked Meredith, and to me the thing that comes through is her warmth. You can easily see she loves people. some might say she acts a little dorky on her show , well, not all of us are cool and detached, nor do we want to be. Everyone has a right to their opinion, however, I think calling her names doesn’t make her look bad , but it makes YOU look bad, uncool and very detached. Shame on you.
,
she is way too old to cover the subject material that is on her show. she is embarrassing to individuals in her age bracket and older and even younger. She always has to invent a way to intertwine some kind of a sexual twist on ninety percent of her topic material. She is an embarrassment to her age group and to herself.
I love the Meredith show and am very sad that it is cancelled. Her shows were always interesting and entertaining. I have been to many tapings and found her to be as genuine and as kind as she appears on TV. Please don’t take my Meredith away….
It is time to say goodbye, I watch a couple of shows and it was like being at a concert of kids belting out a song and you are holding your breath they don’t hit any sour notes…
Meredith is all about sour notes…from beginning to the end…..it is just pathetic..
I am surprised there is anyone watching…I used to like her!
She has totlk about all the time. She’s too old for that. Lots of childish things she does, but they are offensive. Hong it would get better, but not. Need more cooking segments. Stop the sexy stuff please!
I’m glad her show is renewed. I have enjoyed the easy tone and fun she has on the show. I have always had a great deal of respect for her as a tv host.
Absolutely not!! Disappointed, bored, painful to watch. So painful while on the treadmill I turned it to a sports channel and I couldn’t get sound but still preferred over that and I really liked her on the Today show.
I scan shows and when I visited Meredith’s show, I liked it and listen to it every day. Congratulation to those of you who renewed the show and to Meredith herself.
I will NOT be watching season 2 of the show. Its been very disappointing and boring. Meredith tries too hard and it just doesn’t work. I’ve seen things on her show that she’s copied from either the Steve Harvey show or the Ellen DeGeneres show and its pathetic. I watch Steve and ellen daily and am always entertained but I choose to do other things or watch something else during the Meredith Vieira show. Lame lame lame, please don’t renew it for a 3rd season!!!
The show is awful. It’s juvenile and cutsey. Meredith what see you thinking?
definitely not…………games???????????really!!not!!!
This is one of the worst shows ever – Meredith is always trying TOO hard to be affable and friendly, she has too many people she knows on and acts like a total sycophant with them and it’s really sickening to watch at times. And then there are all the sleazy sexual innuendo jokes and it’s like she’s a past middle aged woman obsessed with sex or something. She has some interesting guests, but boy is she totally different as a talk show host from when she was a presenter. This show may make a second season because it was… Read more »
Good show! She is always interesting
and funny. Thanks!
To the Meredith show
How can you put Neil patrick Harris on your show saying thoes disouisting things, like
they put there toques in my mouth, and another time out of a clear blue sky, said
I’m not wearing any pants . I stoped watching your show on **** of that, and a lot of
other people I talked to feel the same way.
This show is very disappointing. I looked forward to it, as I liked her on the Today show. The is basically nothing but getting laughs for trashy talk, from Meredith, she goes out of her way to make sick sex jokes. This is daytime, great for young children to pickup. I have seen warning messages before shows, to get the kids out of the room for less.
Sadly these types of deals are made for the wrong shows. Got tired of this show months ago. At least they all have jobs for another year.
