The Mysteries Of Laura is getting a bit more to do on NBC this season. Deadline reported on Tuesday that NBC ordered five additional scripts of the Debra Messing series.
The Mysteries Of Laura is the only freshman series that managed to survive its first season on NBC last season. NBC ordered a 13-episode second season. An additional five scripts would put the series at 18-episodes this season, but it is always possible the network could ask for more.
Debra Messing shared the news with her fans on Twitter on Tuesday as well.
GOOD NEWS #DIAMONDS! @NBC ordered 5 more @NBCLaura scripts. That’s 5 more mysteries coming your way from the fabulous @WritersofLaura 💎👏🏻💎

The Mysteries Of Laura joins Law & Order Special Victims Unit and Chicago PD on Wednesday nights.
Are you excited to hear that NBC wants more of The Mysteries Of Laura? Tell us what you think.
The Mysteries of Laura is really the ONLY fictional show I watch and have watched it faithfully since season one. Debra Messing is a very gifted actress and this is a wonderful role for her. The entire cast is excellent. Many people will disagree with me but I am far more excited to watch this than Blindspot, the NBC ratings sensation. The violence on Blindspot is just too much and getting the most of that show requires watching every episode. I hope that NBC has the good sense to keep the fascinating meritorious Mysteries of Laura on air for a… Read more »
I guess that means that if I made the programming decisions, you would be watching snow on your TV set. This is possibly the worst show on television. The ratings are pathetic and everyone on NBC who supported the idea of bringing this show back would be fired. Maybe they could stay at your house.
Love the mystery of Laura hope it stay on
I enjoy Mysteries of Larura they have
a great characters
I Love mysteries of Laura which is on
nbc
I have to say that I’m glad about
the show on nbc
I have to say again how much I love, love, love this show. It is such a pleasant show to watch.
Everyone is so good. It’s a police show that doesn’t put you in a depressing mood. It’s clean and funny. The writers must be amazing because each episode is GREAT !!! Please NEVER cancel it…….
Agree100 %. Give it another 16 week season 3 at least. Its fun. Not great but enjoyable n funny. Bring back the nanny.
I can’t believe they have such a hard time renewing good shows. It doesn’t take a brain surgeon to figure that it is a good show.
Once again, NBC proves why it is the joke of the Television world. MOL hasn’t finished higher than 4th when going against all new episodes on network TV channels in the 8pm slot , hasn’t had a higher rating than a 1.2, received a 1.14 last week(which is worse than abysmal) and NBC just ordered 5 more episodes. Why not just order all 9 you morons? You cant count that high? A full season is 22 episodes. NBC proves again that it isn’t interested in quality TV. Congrats to the fans of the show. I didn’t think that NBC would… Read more »

Mysteries of Laura’s a great show I love the plot everybody that I know love the also is it my family my friends love to show just keep on renewing it for another season.
Watch all the time, think the show is very entertaining and the cast is terrific!
I love this show. I was so happy that NBC renewed it. This is one of the very few shows I watch on NBC
They brought it back for 13 episodes(now maybe 18) because if they didn’t they would have been the first network in over 3 decades to cancel every single new fall show from 2014-15. That’s not good. It shows there are a lot of people at NBC who don’t know what they’re doing and should be out on the street. Maybe they can move in with you.
I’ve just sent nbc that I watched mystery of
Laura so please keep the show on the air
I,ve watched mystery of Laura and enjoyed
