NBC had high hopes for The Mysteries of Laura but it certainly wasn’t a hit in the ratings. The network renewed the series anyway. Will the ratings improve this time around or will they drop lower? Will the series be cancelled or renewed for a third season? Stay tuned.
The Mysteries of Laura revolves around a brilliant-but-harried NYPD homicide detective (Debra Messing) who must also juggle raising her young twin boys as a single mom. The rest of the cast includes Josh Lucas, Laz Alonso, Janina Gavankar, Max Jenkins, Callie Thorne, and Med Steedle.
The ratings are typically the best indication of a show’s likelihood of staying on the air. The higher the ratings (particularly the 18-49 demo), the better the chances for survival. This chart will be updated as new ratings data becomes available — usually the next day, around 11:30am EST/8:30am PST. Refresh to see the latest.

For comparisons: The first season of The Mysteries of Laura averaged a 1.22 rating in the 18-49 demographic with 7.45 million total viewers.
Note: Note: These are the Live + Same Day Ratings which include “live” viewing plus delayed DVR viewing, up until 3am local time that same night. Ratings marked with an “*” are the fast affiliate ratings and will be updated with the Live+SD numbers when they are made available. Typically, networks get paid for C+3 ratings which includes DVR viewing within three days of the original airing when commercials are watched. Those numbers are rarely released to the press.
What do you think? Do you still like The Mysteries of Laura TV series? Would you like to see it cancelled or renewed for third season?
Such a fun show to watch. We dvr if we aren’t home. Would really hate to see it cancelled! Characters are fun to watch
LOVE THE SHOW! PLEASE RENEW IT….I now have other friends trying to catch up on the episodes but I don’t think it was advertised enough. I didn’t know it existed until season 2. We are just starting to build the characters and getting into the show. Can’t help but love Debra messing in this role. In general, I think ABC and CBS do a better job of getting people interested in their shows. The NBC shows have been great but somehow they always get cancelled….you have like nothing else drawing viewers into your lineup- it’s like The Voice (Haven’t watched… Read more »
Guess you haven’t seen it! Adorable and unuque!
Good show!
In 15 episodes; Five 1.0’s Four 1.1’s and Six 1.2’s. Renewal? Are you kidding? The show is doing a 1.11 Anything but Cancellation is insane. The fact that networks would even consider renewing a show with ratings this pathetic shows everyone how out of control they are.
LOVE THIS SHOW. Please renew. Love the cast especially Debra Messing.
Love the show. Bring it back
Please do not cancel this show, I love it! It’s gotten even better than when it first started!!!
I can not believe a sharp minded woman would go back to a cheating man we all know they put on the charm and do those little things till they got ya back. And to give up a good looking guy who cooks has a body and all that took me off the list to continue to watch it any more stupid stupid move
What is wrong with NBC? I absolutely love this show! It is funny and so refreshing. I love Debra Messing. This is one of my favorite shows and I look forward to watching it every week. Maybe if it wasn’t pre-empted every other week for 2 or 3 weeks at a time, the ratings would be better.

I noticed that MoL was not included in NBC’s montage of shows at the end of the Golden Globes. Surely that means they’re already past Laura and onto what will be 8pm next season. Unfortunate. I still think 8pm Fridays would be a great slot for the show. (followed by Dateline, then Grimm). Nothing lasts forever, I suppose.
I watch the show because I love the romance between her and her ex-husband. This last episode was so frustrating!
Laura finds clues way too easily. Stuff right in front of the other officers – she spots and deduces immediately. Too pat. You can write better than that.
I enjoy watching mystery of Laura which is on Wednesday night an because that I like the show
I watch the show or I record mystery of Laura
On my DVD so I could watch it the next day.
