Last year, ABC Family introduced three new dramas — Twisted, Ravenswood, and The Fosters. Ravenswood (a Pretty Little Liars spin-off) has been cancelled while The Fosters has been renewed. What will become of Twisted?
Airing on Tuesday nights, Twisted is a mystery/thriller series that revolves around 17 year old Danny Desai (Avan Jogia). Six years ago, he was charged with killing his aunt and he ended up spending five years in juvenile detention. Now, he’s been released and has returned to his small hometown in New York. As he tries to resume his life, a classmate is killed and Danny becomes a key suspect. The cast also includes Madelaine Hasson, Kylie Bunbury, Ashton Moio, Kimberly Quinn, Denise Richards, and Sam Robards.
The pilot episode aired as a special preview in March 2013 and drew 1.19 million viewers. It wasn’t a great start but the ratings picked up when the regular season started in June. They quickly fell again but ABC Family ordered 10 additional episodes of Twisted anyway. That decision may have been influenced by the fact that they had recently cancelled Bunheads and The Lying Game.
When the second half of the season kicked off in February and viewership nearly hit a new low, despite the fact that it had popular Pretty Little Liars as a lead-in. Last week, when Twisted no longer had that strong lead-in, viewership hit an all-time low with just 726,000 viewers.
The second half of the season averaged 1.11 million viewers. Ravenswood was cancelled with higher viewership. Based on these numbers, it’s looking unlikely that ABC Family will order a second season of Twisted.

I just end up the show and I looooooved it (I mean: I’m totally in love with Avan Jogia, he’s perfect) but I don’t think that we need a second season. The first one had a happy end and I would b really pissed off if Danny get in trouble again. ({7

I love this show and want to find out what happens they can’t end it like they did in that episode. They can’t just keep ending shows because then they are going to loose all viewers because they are getting rid of peoples favorite shows on abc family. SEASON 2 PLEASE!!!
I absolutely love this show! It’s one of my favorites along with Pretty Little Liars and One Upon A Time. If we came up with a petition and had people sign up, could you pretty please renew it?!?!?! I would go crazy not knowing the rest of the story!!!
Nadia I love twisted too and needs to renewed for a second season but you need to understand that twisted is up in the air right now its saying not canceled or renewed yet but the abc family has been having series of problems with their shows when kyle xy got canceled some crazy fans were making up Scripts and lines for the kyle xy show and juile plec got upset and therefore that was why abc family canceled that show and they are afarid that if twisted got renewed for second season no one would watch it and there… Read more »
I’m sorry Erin the show has a huge fan base and they are very vocal. It’s ABC’s job to utilize that fan base and put the show in a more suitable slot, advertise it properly and do whatever needs to be done to bring business from it. And most importantly their measure of success of a show is based on the number of live TV viewers in the US, then their business scope is very very narrow and dated. I was furious about Kyle XY getting cancelled too !!! Such a great show and this is even better they need to finish it or at least give us some closure.
twisted is a great show and I think that they should keep it on. I love the show especially the mystery and the chemistry between the players. so I would love to see it come back on so please keep it.

i definitely believe that they should be renewed for another season especially after an ending like that of season one. i did not know abc could have such a show like that. i sooooooooooooooo look forward to the day that season 2 comes out. someone please hear my plea!

I believe ABC should continue the show Twisted. I honestly love that show. And i was looking forward to watching the next season because of the way it ended. It was pretty confusing but interesting. When all these people were connected like Jo and that guy are brothers and sister.
