Last year, ABC Family introduced three new dramas — Twisted, Ravenswood, and The Fosters. Ravenswood (a Pretty Little Liars spin-off) has been cancelled while The Fosters has been renewed. What will become of Twisted?
Airing on Tuesday nights, Twisted is a mystery/thriller series that revolves around 17 year old Danny Desai (Avan Jogia). Six years ago, he was charged with killing his aunt and he ended up spending five years in juvenile detention. Now, he’s been released and has returned to his small hometown in New York. As he tries to resume his life, a classmate is killed and Danny becomes a key suspect. The cast also includes Madelaine Hasson, Kylie Bunbury, Ashton Moio, Kimberly Quinn, Denise Richards, and Sam Robards.
The pilot episode aired as a special preview in March 2013 and drew 1.19 million viewers. It wasn’t a great start but the ratings picked up when the regular season started in June. They quickly fell again but ABC Family ordered 10 additional episodes of Twisted anyway. That decision may have been influenced by the fact that they had recently cancelled Bunheads and The Lying Game.
When the second half of the season kicked off in February and viewership nearly hit a new low, despite the fact that it had popular Pretty Little Liars as a lead-in. Last week, when Twisted no longer had that strong lead-in, viewership hit an all-time low with just 726,000 viewers.
The second half of the season averaged 1.11 million viewers. Ravenswood was cancelled with higher viewership. Based on these numbers, it’s looking unlikely that ABC Family will order a second season of Twisted.

Please bring back Twisted!! I love this show. New info just came into play. We have to find out how everything fits together. I’m so in love with this show. Will Danny and Jo finally be together? Why did Danny have to take the fall for his dad? So many questions need anwsers. Please renew Twisted!!!!
Its not like Twisted was not getting any viewers… I FIND IT DIFFICULT for the public to follow 3 episodes (Twisted, Ravenswood (a Pretty Little Liars spin-off), and The Fosters and expect that one series receive low ratings. For the people that actually have lives and that can not view these shows when they please it is then recorded or viewed on other accounts such as the internet, Netflix, and etc. ABC should look at the over all ratings of their product, they will surely find that the show has in fact been seen and liked by many and should… Read more »
Keep it going. I want to know what happens or at least come to some kind of conclusion rather than suspense for the next episode or season.
My family & friends (of a variety of ages pre-teen to 60’s!), including myself 100%!!! (I’m 28 btw) LOVE Twisted, and anxiously awaited each episode!!! So the SHOW is awesome – 5 stars!!! The main problem People constantly complained about was, UNLIKE THE CW especially, ABC family channel does NOT have their shows available on Hulu, or even the ABC Family app anymore!!! Unless you sign in with specific cable companies! Time Werner Cable isn’t even one of them! And SO many people don’t have cable tv anymore!!! I don’t care how many bad reviews there are, this show CANNOT be cancelled especially where they ended it and because they took The Lying Games from me already so you can’t take this too :'(
twisted is one of my favorite shows, i have watched every single episode , it definitely needs to be renewed, especially with the info we found in the last episode they cant just cut it off like that !

Second season
I swear to God if this series ends here I will seriously be so upset and cry myself to sleep every single night. MY LIFE DEPENDS ON YOU, ABC FAMILY! If you don’t renew Twisted, I don’t know what I’ll do with my life. Pleaaaase. Think of all the hearts you’ll be breaking! It’s such an amazing show. I loved every episode. I want to see more. I am begging you. PLEASE!!!!

Cancel it. The writers appear to be running out of ideas or at least get rid of the nerd character. He doesnt appear to fit in. Also notice how they had to bring in a bad character like charlie out of no where in order to portray danny as an innocent character. On top of that, they made him wealthy. So why cant he just move away and go to another school. So its starting to really not make sense now. I didnt even bother to watch all the episodes.
