Last season, NBC tried airing a “live” episode of Undateable as a special event and then decided to broadcast every third season episode “live” too. Will this strategy give viewers a reason to stay home and watch television on Friday nights? Will this sitcom be cancelled or renewed for a fourth season? Stay tuned.
Undateable follows a group of single friends who are trying to figure out the fine art of relationships. The cast includes Chris D’Elia, Bridgit Mendler, Brent Morin, Bianca Kajlich, Rick Glassman, David Fynn, and Ron Funches.
The ratings are typically the best indication of a show’s likelihood of staying on the air. The higher the ratings (particularly the 18-49 demo), the better the chances for survival. This chart will be updated as new ratings data becomes available — usually the next day, around 11:30am EST/8:30am PST. Refresh to see the latest.
Final season averages: 0.78 rating in the 18-49 demographic with 2.746 million total viewers.
Note: If you’re not seeing the updated chart, please try reloading the page or view it here.
For comparisons: The second season of Undateable averaged a 1.41 rating in the 18-49 demographic with 4.75 million total viewers.
Note: Note: These are the Live + Same Day Ratings which include “live” viewing plus delayed DVR viewing, up until 3am local time that same night. Ratings marked with an “*” are the fast affiliate ratings and will be updated with the Live+SD numbers when they are made available. Typically, networks get paid for C+3 ratings which includes DVR viewing within three days of the original airing when commercials are watched. Those numbers are rarely released to the press.
What do you think? Do you like Undateable TV series? Would you like to see it cancelled or renewed for fourth season?
Used to like it but since it’s gone live there are to many inside jokes everyone’s forgotten how to act. They keep cracking up for some reason be nice to let the audience in on all the fun
Love it!!! Please don’t cancel it!!
No. Whitney is the kiss of death for TV, like Genna Elfman. Seriously. Hasn’t anyone figured this out yet?
dharma and greg ran 5 seasons. that doesn’t make jenna elfman the kiss of death
Love this show! Thought the idea of going live all season was going to be a silly gimmick, but it is actually great when improv kicks in… and hoping Whitney sticks around a while- seeing her and Chris together again on-screen is fantastic! All this show needs is a better time slot.
NBC please move this show to another night and a later time. It is innovative, funny, sweet, entertaining, and more for 8:30 time slot. Friday night is a show killer!!!!
I actually LOVE the show .. I would be so sad if it got cancelled!!! More a fan of the normal apisodes though so hopefully season 4 won’t be live anymore.
I watched ten min. of this show and was horrified , I was totally surprised by the immoral talk and behavior, I sure hope real people do not actually behave in such a manor no wonder our world is such a dirty mess
Join the discussion Yes, people do talk like that. Where do you live, in a convent?
Love this show, love the live version. Hope NBC does not cancel. They need to move it to a night with higher viewers. This show is to adult to make it on Friday.
i don’t like comedies, but each week i find myself watcching this show.must mean i likeit.
NBC has proven it’s ignorance by setting up a great show for failure. Moving it to Friday’s, the night shows go to die…. And then spending so much time pushing new shows that it got barely any promotional air time. If NBC cancels undateable, I just may stop watching NBC all together. I rarely start new shows on NBC because they almost always only last a couple seasons if not one and then end abruptly. they Can’t move a show to Friday( definitely dvr night for anyone with a life) and expect numbers to go up from the previous seasons.… Read more »
If I DVR a tv show, it doesn’t help ratings correct? Just wondering because we (my household) record every show we watch just so we can fast forward through commercials. DVR has spoiled me. I guess I never really thought about it ril reading your comment. We watch it faithfully every week, sucks that it doesn’t effect the ratings. 🙁 wonder how many other households do this.
NBC set this wonderful show up for failure. Not only did they move it to Friday’s, which is the worst night possible for its demographic, they spend so much time pushing new shows, I barely saw any conmercials promoting it. NBC! You never seize to surprise me with how stupid your programming choices can get. I rarely even watch new show on NBC because I know their is little chance the show will last more than a couple seasons and End abruptly. No consideration for the viewers. It’s all about the numbers. And they wonder why they lack the numbers
I’m a 59 year old man , probably not the demo they’re shooting for but I love live tv and I really like this show.
This show is fantastic, and different than anything else on television. Aside from a terrible promotion for the new season starting, my household loves it and won’t miss an episode. We’re right in the middle of the key demographic. Love the cast together, the breaking of character jokes, and the overall improv feel. Would be a shame if it went away.
I really like this show. It’s funny with all the part ad-libs from the comedians acting here. Live versions are really funny with guess stars. The only thing I don’t care about and it doesn’t fit this show, is the guitar for the breaks-too loud and obnoxious. I’m also not in the demographics-60!
Love this show but not fond of the ‘live’ thing…….at all.
