Freeform is developing a spin-off of its popular Young & Hungry TV series, Ashley Tisdale who will executive produce, will also star as Logan Rawlings, a character introduced in the first two seasons of Young & Hungry. The Disney-ABC’s channel (formerly ABC Family) aimed at teens and young adults, announced the Young & Hungry spin-off, during its Upfront presentation, yesterday.
Young & Hungry stars Jonathan Sadowski, Emily Osment, Rex Lee, Aimee Carrero, Mallory Jansen, and Kym Whitley. Will they call the new series Older, but I Could Eat? No one is saying, but perhaps they don’t like to talk with their mouths full.
In Young & Hungry, Gabi Diamond (Emily Osment) is a young food blogger and self-taught chef. Rich, young techie, Josh Kaminski (Jonathan Sadowski) hires her to be his personal chef. Their relationship extends from their professional association into something deeper and more personal.
Tisdale has guest-starred as fashionista and magazine editor, Logan Rawlings, a lesbian, who arrives on the scene to interview Josh, but soon finds herself attracted to Gabi. Logan’s girlfriend, Judy Green (Jessica Lowndes) is a celebrated chef-restauranteur, who owns the high-end San Francisco restaurant, Pure.
What do you think? Are you a fan of Freeform’s Young & Hungry TV show? If the developing spin-off makes it to air, will you check it out?
