To no surprise, CBS has ordered a full season of their new 2 Broke Girls sitcom. It’s the first such order for any of the new shows on CBS.
The sitcom debuted on September 19th, following the much anticipated return of Two and a Half Men, and attracted great numbers — a 7.1 rating in the 18-49 demographic and 19.37 million viewers. In its regular 8:30 timeslot, the show’s still been generating very positive numbers and currently averages a 5.4 in the demo and 14.18 million for the season.
Starring Kat Dennings and Beth Behrs as diner waitresses, 2 Broke Girls is the currently the second-highest rated show on CBS (behind Men) and the third-highest rated show in all of primetime (behind Men and Modern Family on ABC).
The full season order is especially good news for Whitney Cummings. She co-created the comedy with Michael Patrick King and her NBC comedy, Whitney, was also given a full season order this week.
What do you think? Are you glad to hear that 2 Broke Girls was given a full season? How do you think it compares to the other CBS comedies?

Yes! We love 2 broke girls. We look foreword to it every week.
I use to really like the show but now I don’t want to watch it anymore. I am sick of all the usage of sexual body parts words. It really get sickening, not necessary and NOT FUNNY! The last show was not worth watching. I removed it from my DVR scheduled recordings.
It’s not even been a full season and I’m over CBS’s Two Broke Girls. I hate the multiple innuendos in every episode. They were funny first 8 times in one episode but there is nothing clever or particularly interesting about the writing of this show.
Dude, I am so in love with Whitney Cummings and everything she does that it isn’t funny. She’s an amazingly talented writer.
Love 2 Broke Girls – just wish Comcast had it ON DEMAND.
2 Broke Girls is definitely deserving of a full season pickup and vastly superior to Whitney Cummings other show “Whitney”
It’s better than Mike & Molly and How I met your mother by a hair. I watched how to be a gentleman and wasn’t impressed at all. This show is easily 10 times better. I HATE the big bang theory, so no contest there either. But Ashton to giving this show major competition. I don’t which is better right now. By the end of the season I’ll know, I look forward to watching this next season. I’ll be very surprised that if it doesn’t get picked up.
