TV show description:
A coming-of-age story, this TV show is based on the best-selling novel by Nick Hornby.

After writing a hit song, Will Freeman (David Walton) didn’t have to worry about working ever again. It brought him a life of free time, free love, and freedom from financial woes. He’s single, unemployed and loving it. He’s seen how the other half live through his best friend — Andy (Al Madrigal), a thoroughly whipped stay-at-home dad — and wants no part of it.

Things get interesting when needy single mom Fiona (Minnie Driver) and her oddly charming 11-year-old son, Marcus (Benjamin Stockham), move in next door to Will and disrupt his perfect world.

When Marcus begins dropping by his home unannounced, Will’s not so sure about being a kid’s new best friend — until Will discovers that women find single dads irresistible. That changes everything and a deal is made: Marcus will pretend to be Will’s son and in return, Marcus is allowed to chill at Will’s house — playing Ping-Pong and gorging on steaks, something his very vegan mom would never allow.

Before he knows it, Will starts to enjoy the visits and even finds himself looking out for the kid. In fact, this newfound friendship starts to teach him a few things about himself and about caring for others.

Please renew the comedy series “About A Boy.” The writing and acting was top notch, and the show was extremely entertaining! Hope nbc reconsiders and brings back this well cast show.

  2. Mary says

Please bring back this show. I can’t believe there is something that funny and well written and NBC takes it off the air.

  3. R.Natasha says

Aww! This show was really good. The acting was great and it was well written.

It’s not about a pedophile! Lol. It’s about a young boy who finds a friend who also becomes like a father figure to him.

    Sad to see it go!

I loved this show! It was very well written and extremely funny, I am very dissapointed that this show was cancelled. Me and my whole family always watched it including many friends. It’s very annoying how all the GOOD And FUNNY shows keep getting cancelled! I’m done with this channel if this keeps happening
