Beauty and the Beast: CW TV Series Gets Full Season

Beauty And The Beast full seasonThe CW has ordered a full season of their freshman fantasy drama Beauty and the Beast. Though the series loses a significant portion of its Vampire Diaries lead-in audience, the show is apparently doing well enough for the smallest network — at least for this season.

THE CW ORDERS FULL SEASON OF FRESHMAN “BEAUTY AND THE BEAST”

November 9, 2012 (Burbank, CA) – The CW picked up a full season of its freshman hit drama BEAUTY AND THE BEAST, it was announced today by Mark Pedowitz, President, The CW.

BEAUTY AND THE BEAST stars Kristin Kreuk (“Smallville,” “Chuck”) as Catherine, Jay Ryan (“Terra Nova”) as Vincent, Max Brown (“The Tudors,” “MI-5″) as Evan, Nina Lisandrello (“Nurse Jackie”) as Tess, Nicole Gale Anderson (“Make It or Break It”) as Heather, Austin Basis (“Life Unexpected”) as J.T., and Brian White (“The Shield,” “The Cabin in the Woods”) as Joe.

Last night’s BEAUTY AND THE BEAST was up 9% in total viewers versus last week, and also grew in all key adult demos week to week. Season to date, BEAUTY AND THE BEAST is averaging 2.4 million viewers and a 1.3 rating among women 18-34, and a 0.9 rating among adults 18-34, in most current Nielsen data.

BEAUTY AND THE BEAST is produced by CBS Television Studios in association with Take 5 Productions/Whizbang Films with executive producers Sherri Cooper (“Brothers and Sisters”) & Jennifer Levin (“Without A Trace,” “Felicity”), Brian Peterson (“Smallville”) & Kelly Souders (“Smallville”), Gary Fleder (“Life Unexpected,” “October Road”), Bill Haber (“Rizzoli & Isles,” “Thurgood”), Paul J. Witt (“A Better Life”) & Tony Thomas (“A Better Life”), Ron Koslow (“Moonlight”), Frank Siracusa (“The Yard”) and John Weber (“Borgias”).

don’t cancel beauty and the beast i want it to have seven seasons!!!!!!!!!!!!!
jay ryan is a really great actor i want to see more soooooooo much!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
i love the show so very very much PLEASE keep in on for years !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

PLEASE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! do not cancel beauty and the beast!!!! i love the show i want to see more!!!!!!!!!!!!!! i want it to come out on dvd and i want it to get renewed for a second season and even a third season too !!!!!!!!!!!! jay ryan is so awsome i want more beauty and the beast PLEASE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

hi i am from athens greece i am 44 years old and i loved this series much much much more than the series in the decates of 1987 with linda hamilton and ron perlman.ih this remake series i find it perfect and it is very flexible because in the series of 1987 ron perlman was always beast with the mask but here jay rayan he has his regular form and only when he gets angry he transformer himself.and the kritren kreuk is also perfect and beautiful i remember her from (smallville).her role as a homisite detecticve is perfect and i thing that this writers of tha series must be glad and to produces many episodes.my wish is this series to have at least 20 seasons.it is very good the scripts and it is very flexible.i am a big fun of that series.and my wish is to see kathrine and vincent to get married eachother.i vote YES YES YES for that series at least 20 sesons if the acters can handel it.from athens greece a big suport for that series.can’t compair with the older series with linda hamilton.kristen is even more BEAUTY.thank you very much.

I love this show! They need to renew it. It has been getting better and better with each episode. The CW has gotten rid of some great shows in the past. Please don’t make this another one to add in the pile. Season 2 please!!

The rating were better for Episode 10 and will continue to be good because of one special guest star…Bridget Regan. She has should a huge following including myself. The show is good and is getting better each week but have Bridget on is a great plus. Dare I say Wonder Woman ;)
