TV show description:
Richard Castle (Nathan Fillion) is an incredibly famous mystery novelist who has become bored with his own success. His life starts to get interesting when he learns that a real-world copycat killer has started staging murder scenes based on his novels.

Rick is soon questioned by NYPD Detective Kate Beckett (Stana Katic), a very bright and aggressive detective who keeps her investigations under a tight rein. Their styles instantly clash yet sparks begin to fly, leading both to danger and a hint of romance as Rick steps in to help Kate find the killer. Once that case is solved, the author decides to use her as the basis for a new book series.

Rick uses his connections to get permission to accompany Kate while she investigates other cases, much to her frequent irritation. But Kate has a reputation for looking for “freaky” cases so she needs all the help she can get.

Others on her team include Kate’s confidant, Medical Examiner Lanie Parish (Tamala Jones); sardonic Detective Javier Esposito (Jon Huertas); and Detective Kevin Ryan (Seamus Dever), a nice guy who’s always ready to offer obscure facts. Captain Roy Montgomery (Ruben Santiago-Hudson) is their boss who makes sure that Kate’s cases go smoothly, in spite of all of the strong personalities involved.

Rick’s mother is Martha Rodgers (Susan Sullivan), a diva and former Broadway actress, who still seeks the spotlight and often ends up getting involved with the police cases. Alexis (Molly Quinn) is Rick’s quick-witted and insightful teenage daughter who keeps her famous dad in line.

Rick and Kate build upon their new relationship as they look to solve strange homicides in New York — as much fun as one can have with death & murder.

One of the best shows on tv, still going strong with the storylines, the network would be making a mistake cancelling this show, let it go until the end, like mash, or all the others who lasted for years. The show still has alot to offer, I look forward every Monday to this show. I just ordered the castle black coffee cups for my kids, they love them.

This show needs a shot at a real run on t.v. to develop the cast like other shows have had time to do. They are doing a good job this year expanding on espo’s character and they really need to move the beckett/castle relationship along because it doesn’t make sense that she says or thinks he’s a playboys when she clearly has had her share of dates and men. This I can’t commit until i find my mother’s killer and only Rick knowing she will live only if she back’s off is ridiculous. First, Beckett is calmer this season which is good, yet they should have some quips between them, they were funny. Also, they could get engaged and still banter like an old married couple and put in a few break ups but Castle has to watch Beckett for the rest of her lie anyway since he is the only one that knows she wil live only if she backs off her mother’s death. She’s lying to him and that’s not right either. Right now it doesn’t make sense other than she is scared but it would be an interesting twist to have them have a child together after a short live in period or something and have to be tied together then forever. I don’t know what the writer’s have in mind but dragging these things out year after year for suspense gets annoying to all the watchers. This is a great show leaveit on the air.

This is one of the very best shows on the air. I’m so disappointed that I have to wait till next year for additional showings.
It’s always the good shows that seem to go by the wayside.

What’s this about Kate (supposedly) being killed off? Here in Australia, the latest episode on our commercial tv station aired last night (17th July 2011) was when Castle was just about to tell Kate something intriguing that he’d found out about her murdered mother!!! (Was she a hooker?….no, don’t tell me…..let me find out in the next episode next Monday night here!) What’s happening with this inane talk about the show being cancelled/not cancelled? NEVER!!!!

My husband and I love “Castle.” What is this with killing off the main characters in last episode in May 2011? Please don’t say it’s gone. It brightened our Monday nights.

There can be no Castle without Beckett. She makes the show and is the reason I watch. The chemistry between the two drives the show. I’ll no longer watch if she is gone.

Best show ever. Love Kate and Castle. Bring it back. Kate surely can’t be dead . . . Love their relationship as well as the mysteries.

Is it really over? Nooooo…. please! Truly one of your best…

The season finale of Castle was the best season finale that I have ever seen. If Kate is actually dead, my Monday nites will be very boring in 2012. Please do not let it be. Rick and Kate keep it together or just get it together. You two are beautiful together.
