Singing and songwriting legend Dolly Parton is returning to play Miley Stewart’s “Aunt Dolly” on one of the final episodes of Hannah Montana. It will be her third appearance on the Disney Channel series. Parton supposedly agreed to be in 2009′s Hannah Montana: The Movie but her character was ultimately cut from the script.
In an interview with Terry Morrow, Parton shared the news and said of series star Miley Cyrus, “I’m very proud of her. I think she’s a fabulous artist.”
As fans well know, Hannah Montana is ending after four seasons. Production on the final episodes began in January. A schedule hasn’t been announced but they’re expected to begin airing by mid-year.
