If you were looking forward to the start of the new season of Kitchen Nightmares on FOX, you’ll have to wait at least a little while longer. The network has bumped the return of the Gordon Ramsay series, one of four on the network, for repeats of The X Factor.
Kitchen Nightmares had been set to begin its fifth season at 8pm, on September 28th. FOX had scheduled three weeks of episodes but has now given the timeslot to X Factor reruns, likely an effort to attract more viewers to watch the Wednesday and Thursday night airings.
Now, X Factor reruns will air from September 28th through October 12th. They’ll be followed by Fringe originals. October 19th will be filled with the fifth NLCS game. If a fifth game isn’t needed, 8-10pm will be filled with X Factor encores. On October 26th, Touch returns for its second season and Fringe will resume its fifth and final year.
There’s no word on when Kitchen Nightmares will start airing. FOX ordered 16 installments for the fifth season.
What do you think? Were you looking forward to the return of Kitchen Nightmares? Will X Factor encores be a better lead-in for fringe?
