Nancy Drew could be returning to the small screen in the near future. CBS is developing a new series based on the detective series, but they are planning a drastic change.
Nancy Drew will be all grown-up.
No word on casting for this series, but Entertainment Weekly teased that this series could be pair with Supergirl next season – if CBS picks up Supergirl for a second season that is.
The plot for the series was described by EW:
“A contemporary take on the character from the iconic book series. Now in her 30s, Nancy is a detective for the NYPD where she investigates and solves crimes using her uncanny observational skills, all while navigating the complexities of life in a modern world.”

Would love to see this series! As a young girl, I read many NDREW books, and loved them. Another fresh series….
Yes. I was hoping it would be Nancy Drew Atty at Law though
they tried Nancy Drew long time ago , didnt get the ratings
I was a huge fan of Nancy Drew books growing up. I will give this new series a try, I just hope that it’s done right.
Yes
I would definitely watch an “all grown up” Nancy Drew. I’ve enjoyed watching at least two other incarnations of the famous super sleuth. I await …
Boring…Another cop show….Why not use San Fransisco instead of NY
Someone really needs to make a TV SERIES about “The Boxcar Children” Series of books……Now that would be fun to watch….
Yes, I’d watch this one… as well as the Boxcar Children… I read the Trixie Belden books growing up & have never seen anything about these books in 40 yrs!
I would love to see a grown up series of Nancy Drew. The books were my favorite in my younger days!!!
Absolutely, I would watch it…loved the book series. It could have the potential to be the millenials “Murder She Wrote”. Just keep true to the character and it should succeed.
Murder she Wrote was the best……I think Nancy Drew based in NY is not a good idea….If they do the show they need to base it in another city or even base it back in the 1950’s style in her 30’s….ETC…..
