The Real O’Neals finished its second season earlier this month, but what about season three? What do you think? Would you watch a third season of the ABC TV series?
The sitcom revolves around an Irish Catholic family whose lives are turned upside down when the middle son comes out of the closet and the rest of the family members come clean with their own secrets. The cast includes Martha Plimpton, Jay R. Ferguson, Noah Galvin, Matt Shively, Bebe Wood, and Mary Hollis Inboden.
ABC has not yet announced whether The Real O’Neals will be renewed for a third season or not. If the show’s ratings are an indicator, a renewal seems unlikely. Season two averaged a .93 rating in the 18-49 demo and only 3.068 million viewers, placing it in the bottom half of ABC’s 2016-2017 series.
However, ratings aren’t always the sole factor when it comes to a renewal. Tell us what you think. Are you a fan of The Real O’Neals? If renewed, would you watch a third season of the series?
I like the real O’Neals better than imaginary mary. The real O’Neals is a good show. I prefer that more than the even the middle. I’m just sayin.
Yes, we love the show and we want to see more.
The show was funny with great talents. As a gay, X-Catholic it was outdated. This type of story line was done in the 90’s. It could of dealt with todays issues the way the TV shows like “Mom” or “Black-ish” does. Funny but meaningful.
some of the worst television there is, and considering the low quality of television these days, that’s saying alot!
Most definitely. I think its hilarious and I haven’t seen very much good comedy lately.
This show is great and funny and stars an actual gay person playing a gay person! I agree the show needs a little work, but I think if given a third season, itll work itself out! Don’t cancel it before it gets a chance to truly shine! Its good to have a funny show starring an LGBTQ person instead of a tragic drama where the gay person goes through a million and one tragedies while making the audience even more depressed. This show is a breath of fresh air for the LGBTQ community.
Very funny show! Please keep it going for another season ABC!!
And while you’re at, please bring back Manhattan Love Story!!!!!! It was such a cute little show. Analeigh Tipton is a wonderfully talented actress!! And Jake McDorman is a HOT SEXY MAN!!!
Oh and could you pick up The Witches of East End?? All 3 of these are much better than most shows on TV now.
Sincerely,

Yes, renew this show. a good reflection on real life and entertaining. We need more shows like this. Loved it.
I really enjoy this show. I am not gay, Catholic or white. I don’t watch the show because it should look or be a reflection of my life. I watch it because it’s funny, the characters are quirky and all of the actors are great. In short, it entertains me. I want to laugh away my own troubles and The Real O’neals does that for me.
I really love this show. It, in my opinion, successfully addresses some of the major feelings and challenges of people in the LGBT community and those around it. I hope they get to release a third season to continue to inspire the younger side of the LGBT community.
Definitely. This show is not just a tv sit com. Read between the lines. We might not know on paper. Nut one fact I can vouch cause this is my field of work. Or should I say my labor of love.
THIS SHOW SAVES LIVES .ESPECIALLY FROM SUICIDES. PLEASE I IMPLORE YOU. DON’T CANCEL.!!!

Really?? How do you figure?
I Like the show. I’d definitely watch it. The 1st season was great and season 2 had it’s good points. I thing season 3 could be amazing. Hopefully it will be renewed.
Please renew the show, it is hilarious and I really need the laughs to medicate myself with. The Allison character is so great and I wish ABC would do a whole show just about her life. She is so realistic and people need to see that. Because everyone hates girls like her and are mean to them. It is because they do not understand the ways of lesbians. All of the other characters are great too. I love the show.
