TV show description:
A legal drama, this TV show is set in Charleston, South Carolina and revolves around a gorgeous Yankee litigator and a charming southern attorney who must hide their intense mutual attraction as a police sex scandal threatens to tear the city apart.

Jamie Sawyer (Anna Wood) is cool, confident and armed with south side of Chicago street-smarts as she takes on the good ol’ boys in the South. Her handsome courtroom rival is Roy Rayder (Cam Gigandet), a divorced father of two. He embodies the Old South and is the newly named City Attorney — thanks to his influential former father-in-law, Dec Fortnum (Gregory Harrison).

When disgraced cop Lee Anne Marcus (Georgina Haig) hires Jamie to represent her in a lawsuit against the police department, Jamie and Roy discover that Lee Anne is at the center of a sinister case with dire implications for the members of the Charleston PD.

Heading that department is Deputy Chief Holland Knox (Michael Gladis), a family man who radiates integrity. Working under him are cocky and corrupt detective Terry McCandless (Shawn Hatosy) and Preston Cruz (Adam Rodríguez), Jamie’s well-respected boyfriend — a man who might not be all that he appears.

Helping Jamie is her confidante and paralegal, Vi Briggs (Kim Wayans), an expert at digging up case-winning information.

As Jamie and Roy spar in and out of the courtroom, dark secrets simmer behind every door and threaten to tarnish the genteel facade of seductive Charleston.

Programming sucks anymore…such a shame that there are so many “reality” shows and not enough good ones like “Reckless”. I, for one, rarely watch television anymore; just a waste of time. I will just look to the movie channels…

I’m so disappointed CBS canceled this show. So tired of reality TV shows and Undercover Boss when anyone with a brain would know what it is. Plus they keep Two Broke Girls on which is one of the stupidest shows I had the unpleasant task of watching, once. Then to have such a cliff hanger and then cancel. Shame on you CBS.

I can’t believe they canceled this show! It was so cute and good! I swear there are only dumb shows on anymore.

I just looked this up to see if it was coming back this summer..no such luck. I agree with many of the comments. In my opinion, CBS & other networks seem to keep some of the dumbest shows & cancel the good ones. They still have some good shows, but is CBS seeing any of these comments or are they just out in cyber space??

Loved this show. So disappointed this was cancelled. Watched the whole season on CBS and just finished a second time on Netflix. Wish that they bring back! Leaves us hanging!
Great story line, actors and chemistry. And to end with such a cliffhanger! We need to know what happens to these characters. At least commit to an ending before cancellation. I agree with the other comments- the networks are notorious for cancelling the good, solid shows and replacing with reality nonsense! No wonder Netflix, Amazon and other streaming series are so popular and becoming major competition. The networks don’t even give the quality shows a fighting chance any more.
