Star-Crossed: Cancelled by The CW, No Season Two

Star-Crossed TV show on CWThe story of the young “star-crossed” lovers is coming to a close. The CW has cancelled Star-Crossed after one season of 13 episodes.

Star-Crossed revolves around a pair of teens — one human (Aimee Teegarden) and one alien (Matt Lanter) — who fall in love and struggle to overcome the discrimination and distrust around them. The rest of the cast includes Grey Damon, Natalie Hall, Malese Jow, Titus Makin Jr., Chelsea Gilligan, Brina Palencia, and Greg Finley.

The series debuted as a mid-season replacement and never took hold in the ratings. The premiere drew a lackluster 0.5 rating in the 18-49 demo with 1.28 million viewers. Subsequent episodes performed even worse, making Star-Crossed one of the network’s lowest-rated shows.

There are just 13 episodes in the season and the finale, titled “Passion Lends Them Power,” will air next Monday night.

What do you think? Are you sorry that there won’t be a second season of Star-Crossed? If you ran the network, would you have canceleld or renewed this series?

It’s completely abhorrent that they cancelled this awesome show. I get that the numbers werent there, but I just watched the episodes on Netflix and I’m totally left hanging along with the how many others who have watched it. Mabey the reason why you couldn’t get the numbers is because hardly anyone knew about the show. I mean I showed the episodes to my freinds before I knew it was canceled and now we are all choleric about it being cancelled. And now there’s probably no way we can ever have an ending because a year has gone by and we are just now finding out about this show, it’d be awesome if we could get a finish but yeah. Just don’t do it again it’s really lame, one of the main reasons we watch TV is to unwind from our lives and see someone else’s problems and not have to do anything because its not real but it still helps with whatever crud you’re dealing with so don’t do it again this is not the first time this has happened either and tgats the only reason im commenting even though nobody will probably read this but whatever.

I just finished this show and it was awesome! I am sad that they cancelled it and quite can’t process why, because it was better than most shows aired. For those who loved this show as much as I did, I hightly recommend reading “Alienated” by Melissa Landers . It is quite similar to this show except the plot is quite different but they both share similarities. Also it is a series so there is a second book to alienated that just came out. I highly recommend this book to Star crossed fans

I’m so bummed and upset this show was awesome and it’s so sad that we won’t see it any more. It just not fair they get us hooked on a show and they end up canceling it

I just streamed all of season one from Netflix. Loved it. Better then most of the new series. I hope the CW will air a second season. If not, I hope the producers will try releasing the series on the sci fi channel or FX. There are lots of cable stations that should get behind this terrific series.
