I am a real fan of the show….when people complain about “going down the rabbit hole” those are people who buy into the fantasy that forensic evidence reals everything within 60 minutes….the reality is…so many murders are solved…so the twists and turns of this plot are interesting and gratifying….please renew this show!!!!

cancel the show – it goes down way too many rabbit holes every week and lost the point with its constant meandering

if you think it has too many rabbit holes, perhaps you should close some of those holes & change the channel to a maybe American Dad, that might be more your speed

Its really sad that an amazing show might go away because a bunch of cry babies who are used to the 48 minute C.S.I. cookie cutter program!!!
IT used to be all the quality shows ended the season with a cliff hanger and it was exciting to talk about or figure out who or what might have happened!!! Im just sick that pdople are so simple now they have so much difficulty following anything longer than an hour!! What a shame, its the best show in yearsI hope AMC keeps it for another season!!!

I agree with you, & want the show to continue. It is good to see channels other than the BIG 3, ABC, CBS & NBC pick up some spectacular shows. Hang on to this one

I agree, Let’s hope there are more of us out there who hope the show is quality and deserves more air time

The Killing is a very good show with stellar acting and writing. True, it will probably be canceled because of internet nerds with an axe to grind about last year’s finale putting the badmouth on the show. This new age internet “superviewer” has led to the demise of many top quality shows because things haven’t played out exactly to their liking. Seriously, did the writers not revealing Rosie’s killer at the end of last season really destroy the quality and continuity of the show you all enjoyed last year? Had they revealed her killer at the end of last season would you have returned for a second season?

It’s called a cliffhanger people. Networks have been using them for years to bring people back for the following year’s premiere. In this case it seems to have backfired and I’m shocked at how petty the average viewer on internet message boards has been about it. Oh well, another quality show down the tubes I guess. You can all get back to your mindless entertainment like American Idol, The Voice, or whatever reality show is popular these days. If that doesn’t work for you just check out an episode of CSI: Oklahoma or whatever the hell it is. That seems to be appropriate for the average viewer’s intellect.

I agree one of the best crime dramas on TV,it’s captivating & refreshing to think there is program that is thoughtful and deliberate. It does not have to run an entire storyline in an hour.

This is seriously the best show on TV right now. I love how it doesn’t follow the same formula a similar show would follow. It’s not so much a procedural, but a story led by the individual characters and how they all intertwine with the mystery surrounding Rosie Larsen. Brilliant. Absolutely brilliant. Is it Sunday yet?

Yea! someone who agrees with me! I love this show. I sometimes watch the current show a 2nd time before the next airing because it is so intriguing

Is it bad that I watched the first season in literally 2 days (I didn’t know about it until the start of the second season), and have been following it religiously since? Today I went back and started to re-watch the first season. I have a serious problem…and Mireille has a serious talent! It’s such a genius series!!

I think the story is great. However I think there is some stale acting especially Mirielle Enos!

Reply

Chris Mcnamara May 14, 2012 at 6:51 pm

disagree, the acting is great & the best part is because all of the chachters are fresh faces

Reply

sarah May 15, 2012 at 10:11 pm

Exactly!! We need new faces and new talent! I absolutely adore Mireille…I think she has done an exceptional job at portraying detective Linden. She’s so mysterious and yet you can read her like a book. It takes a lot of talent to be able to pull that off. Bravo Mrs. Ruck. Bravo.

I did not like the way we were left hanging at the end of Season 1 about who killed Rosie Larsen. I felt cheated and wanted Season 2 to start with a new case. I watched the Danish original which was far superior although the US version is not bad . I hope this season is an improvement though.

It’s a good show but for some reason I don’t really care to watch it anymore. I don’t understand how you can expand one individual case across an entire series run without losing interest when most police procedurals wrap one up in an hour. Plus it just seems to be so downbeat all the time.

Reply

Chris Mcnamara May 14, 2012 at 7:04 pm

It’s OK you don’t have to watch, we understand it might difficult for you to comprehend the complexity of this show. Try watching Matlock. I hope this show is picked up for season 3 & 4 & 5 and so on. there are a lot of things that can be done with this storyline.

sarah May 15, 2012 at 10:13 pm

Because this isn’t “most procedurals.” That is the WHOLE point of the series!! Read some interviews with the writer and even the actors

The Killing has made me appreciate just how brilliant Mad Men is. Putting those shows on back to back could have been the death knell for the Red Herring Hour.

Thank you AMC. Now do the right thing and kill the Killing.
