The demo rose a bit this week to a 1.0 rating with 2.13 million. That was an increase of 11%. Because the rest of the network’s shows are doing so poorly, Secret Circle is CW’s second-highest rated show.

Episode 01-02: Thursday, 9/22/11:
Ouch! What a difference a week can make. After a positive premiere, Secret Circle ratings took a big dive in week two. The episode rated a 0.9 rating in the demo and 2.12 million viewers. That represents a loss of a whopping 31% in the all-important demographic. It’s certainly not good news. Will the numbers keep dropping?
Season average: 1.1 demo with 2.58 million.

Episode 01-01: Thursday, 9/15/11
Secret Circle debuted to a 1.3 in the 18-49 demographic and 3.05 million viewers. The series premiere held onto most of the audience from the Vampire Diaries lead-in and didn’t lose many viewers as the hour progressed. That’s positive and bodes well for next week. Though it didn’t have much competition, Secret Circle is The CW’s best series premiere of the season.

Note: These ratings are collected by the Nielsen company and are the final national numbers. These are different from the fast affiliate numbers which are just estimates of the actual ratings and are reported on by most other outlets. The final nationals are typically released within 24 hours of the programming or, in the case of weekends and holidays, a couple days later.

What do you think? Do you like the The Secret Circle TV series? Do you think it should be cancelled or renewed for a second season?

If you find a way to get this show back, let me know! I agree on the secret life and there are some really dumb shows out there! The secret circle is amazing and the actors actually know what they are doing! They need to get it back!

I am so disappointed that TSC was cancelled. I agree that maybe a different night would have made a difference. I also PVR’d it so I wouldn’t miss an episode. Please reconsider and give it another chance. I am in my early 50’s and love TVD and TSC.

I think this was done in poor choice… the show has potential to be a hit as the vampire diaries. Especially when so many followed l.j. smith’s books. I could think of plenty other shows that could be cancelled instead of secrect circle.

I cannot believe you dummies would cancel Secret Circle! Don’t you realize how many people are watching this show??? We actually discuss seeing it at work on Friday. Whoever made this decision needs to definitely be replaced with someone who can actually listen to the viewers.

The CW should not of cancelled TSC. and needs to reconsider RENEWAL!! First off, the Thursday night 9pm time slot for this show was somewhat of a disadvantage. For my age population( 22 in college) we have a set schedule of shows to watch during the week and Thursdays is Greys Anatomy night at 9pm which has been a solid show since pilot. Earlier in the week at 9pm would of been a better fit for TSC. Also, the show allowed viewers to get away from reality and into this fancy land that seems so real. It was an escape for viewer. Also, the actors in the TSC were awesome. Perfect pick. But, the young viewers like to see more “hottt scenes.” Don’t get me wrong, the scenes were on point, but we want more!! Even if its with the characters in a monogamous relationships. Hell, we would even like to see Faye’s mom hook up with Diana’s dad. But when I say we want to see more “hooking-up,” keeping it classy VERY important (and the scenes were nothing but high class). And I could also see that the director/cw knew that too from going back to episode 1 and then to the last episode, the actors had total different and better/sexier looks. The CW needs to reconsider renewing TSC because the new shows that are coming up next season are not looking too promising to give them a second season.

IT should be renewed for another season or 2, or 3, you should ask the public if it should be cancelled I am 58 & I happen to love it!!! I look forward to it each week, please DON’T CANCEL IT….

I always recorded TSC in case I missed it. I think it’s a great show that distracts you from the day to day reality. I like the story and the dynamics of the characters personalities and relationships. I’m in my late 30’s early 40’s . I would really like this decision reconsidered and see another season.

I loved TSC. I programmed to tape and watched it at the same time. The bottom line is money and brainless TV that will make money. They will probably put on something that dumber than dishwater.

TSC is a good show and I don’t think it should be canceld as
the acting is good and the action and plots are good entertainment.
I hope they bring it back.
