Episode 01-02: Thursday, 9/29/11:
In week two, the series came down 24% in the demo to a 2.5 rating with 5.4 million. That’s a significant loss but this is NBC and the series is still doing well comparatively. It’s actually the second-highest rated show currently on the network.
Season average: 2.9 demo with 6.12 million.
Episode 01-01: Thursday, 9/22/11
The new sitcom had a positive debut, particularly by NBC standards, with a 3.3 rating in the 18-49 demographic and 6.84 million viewers. It improved over Community’s premiere last season by 45% in the demo (2.2 rating). On the downside, there was a loss of 17% in the demographic over the course of the episode, dipping to a 3.0 rating by 9:45pm. It’s a fair bet those viewers won’t be back next week.
Note: These ratings are collected by the Nielsen company and are the final national numbers. These are different from the fast affiliate numbers which are just estimates of the actual ratings and are reported on by most other outlets. The final nationals are typically released within 24 hours of the programming or, in the case of weekends and holidays, a couple days later.
