The original 24 TV show was a big ratings success for the FOX network for several years. Now, they’re trying a spin-off called 24: Legacy. Can this action TV series survive without the onscreen presence of Kiefer Sutherland as Jack Bauer? Will 24: Legacy be cancelled or renewed for a second season? Stay tuned.
On 24: Legacy, it’s a race against the clock to stop a devastating terrorist attack on United States soil. Six months ago in Yemen, an elite squad of US Army Rangers, led by Sergeant Eric Carter (Corey Hawkins), killed terrorist leader Sheik Ibrahim Bin-Khalid. In the aftermath, Bin-Khalid’s followers declared a fatwah against Carter, his squad, and their families. This forces them into federal witness protection but an attempt on Carter’s own life makes it clear that his team is now exposed. Carter enlists Rebecca Ingram (Miranda Otto), a brilliant and ambitious intelligence officer who has stepped down from her post as National Director of CTU. She’s supporting her husband, Senator John Donovan (Jimmy Smits), in his campaign for President of the United States. The rest of the FOX cast includes Teddy Sears, Dan Bucatinsky, Anna Diop, Ashley Thomas, Charlie Hofheimer, Coral Pena, and Sheila Vand.
The ratings are typically the best indication of a show’s likelihood of staying on the air. The higher the ratings (particularly the 18-49 demo), the better the chances for survival. This chart will be updated as new ratings data becomes available — usually the next day, around 11:30am EST/8:30am PST. Refresh to see the latest.
4/18 update: You can see the rest of the latest night’s ratings.
Note: If you’re not seeing the updated chart, please try reloading the page or view it here.
Note: These are the Live + Same Day Ratings which include “live” viewing plus delayed DVR viewing, up until 3am local time that same night. Ratings marked with an “*” are the fast affiliate ratings and will be updated with the Live+SD numbers when they are made available. Typically, networks get paid for C+3 ratings which includes DVR viewing within three days of the original airing when commercials are watched. Those numbers are rarely released to the press.
What do you think? Do you like 24: Legacy TV show? Do you think it should be cancelled or renewed for a second season?
5/15 update: 24: Legacy has not been renewed by FOX. There will be no season two, for now. Details here.
why do anyone watch this crap really bad acting and the writers should all be fired. its a joke
I can respect your opinion about the show. But, to call them bad actors is insane.
not even worth the tine to film it not anything good about it
it suck really bad the guy a really bad actor and the show writer such
The average of the non-Superbowl episodes is 1.13 (without knowing March 13’s)
Please stop this garbage.
I didn’t miss one of the original but this is a shame.
I was pleasently suprised that the new 24 is just as good as the original. The jack Bauer replacement is great and I hope the show gets renewed.
If you’ve ever seen such a downturn? So quickly oh my god this poor guy who’s in the show he was in the top of the world now you’ll be lucky if he gets another series after this canceled show when it happens!.!
Creating good written art is hard. As a writer I know. 24 legacy has some good aspects, but on the whole it suffers from characters that I just don’t think people care about. I just skip over the parts about the wife and the drug dealing husband and the high school terrorists. Who cares about these people? I just do the connect that much with even the characters or story lines that gave at least some interest. This show can’t possibly last.
No you’re not right here, the problem is people have expectations of the show based upon that the first series many years ago.
I agree with Greg. The wife left one brother for another, which makes her incredibly unlikable for me. The criminal brother is unlikable because he’s a violent drug dealer. The lead actor has zero charisma. The new CTU boss is a redundant, barely used character. The writing is terribly predictable and stale.
There’s a lot of things wrong with this show other than little things is just Bad!
Was a big 24 fan years back. Just doesn’t do it. I know, don’t compare, but you guys gave it the same title. Bring back Jack, then you’ve got a “hit” again. Why don’t you people listen to us? KS, get out from behind the scenes and go do what you do best. Bring your guitar if you like..
Don’t forget; with Jack comes Chloe. Those two WERE 24.
24 without Jack and Chloe? No way. Those 2 made the show. So wish it could come back. That last movie they made was wide open for another to see what happened to Jack.
Kill it now. Its headed for the toilet anyway. I feel sorry for the young man playing the lead. His career is written in the writing on the wall. He took a chance and, well… But for commercial reasons the network will let it dribble its life away at least until it gets to 0.99 in the 18 to 49 demographic. Maybe.
I have been a fan since the show started and I think legacy is awesome …change is good and you can bring jack Bauer anytime..but jack Bauer can’t live forever….great job with the show….renew it!!
I loved the original 24, but Legacy is badly written and the lead has zero charisma.
OMH look at that drop! :p by legacy!
I cant believe after all these years that this show has the same intense way of keeping me on the edge of my seat as it always has. I also think that it was a nice change to have someone besides Jack Bauer as the lead. They have a formula that works and were never dumb enough to change what was working like lots of shows do after many years. Im going to keep watching!
First I can’t understand why Fox didn’t rerun episode 1 before showing episode 2. I didn’t see it Sunday, a 11PM was too late. And even with taping/streaming, I didn’t have time between Sunday night and Monday at 8PM to watch it. So I missed out on a little of the background info on all the characters. (such as the school group plot). Anyway I watched episode 2 and found it to be lacking the intensity of the original 24 and most actors appeared to be over-acting. Some seemed to be walking through their paces. Not a promising start for… Read more »
