Season one of Aftermath just finished on December 20th. But what about a second season? Do you think the Syfy TV series should be renewed or cancelled?
The sci-fi drama follows the Copeland family as they struggle to survive in the face of apocalyptic events. The cast includes Anne Heche James Tupper, Levi Meadon, Julia Sarah Stone, and Taylor Hickson.
The series premiered on September 27th to fairly low numbers, earning an 18-49 demo rating of .16 and around 634,000 viewers. While the second episode received higher viewing numbers at around 755,000, the show’s ratings never reached that high again. The entire season netted an average of only .16 in the 18-49 demo and a total of 585,000 viewers.
Though the ratings are low, Syfy has renewed series will similar viewership numbers. It’s also worth noting that the series is produced for Space in Canada so it’s unclear how much the US channel’s participation has an impact on the series future.

Yes, Aftermath, should continue!!!! My husband and i love the show!!!! We are in our upper 50’s and early 60’s. I love shows like Aftermath. It kept me coming back, sitting on the edge of my seat and hating when each show was over. I wanted MORE!!!!! Please, dont take this show from us. It was different. There are soooo many of “the same old thing,” out there where 1 show is pretty much like the next. We need variety! This show is perfect for Syfy but hoping another network will pick it up. All the absolute garbage on TV and they cancel one of the few shows I liked to watch. It’s no wonder less and less people are watching TV, there’s rarely anything on worth watching, time to ditch the cable.
I love this show please do not cancel it’s a great show I know it has not yet reached its full potential it deserves a second chance

The few episodes that I was able to watch were very good, I am looking forward to more in the future.
