FX has found some nice success with The Americans. Now, NBC is trying their own version of the Russian spy premise called Allegiance. Will it be a hit in the ratings? Cancelled or renewed for season two? Stay tuned to find out.
On the Allegiance TV show, Katya and Mark O’Connor (Hope Davis and Scott Cohen) and their daughter Natalie (Margarita Levieva) are part of a dormant Russian sleeper cell that has just been reactivated. Their mission is to turn son Alex (Gavin Stenhouse), an idealistic CIA analyst, into a spy. Others in the cast are Morgan Spector, Kenneth Choi, and Alex Peters.
The ratings are typically the best indication of a show’s likelihood of staying on the air. The higher the ratings (particularly the 18-49 demo), the better the chances for survival. This chart will be updated as new ratings data becomes available — usually the next day, around 11:30am EST/8:30am PST. Refresh to see the latest.
3/6 update: NBC has cancelled and pulled this drama after five episodes. Episodes will be released online.
Note: If you’re not seeing the updated chart, please try reloading the page or view it here.
Note: Note: These are the Live + Same Day Ratings which include “live” viewing plus delayed DVR viewing, up until 3am local time that same night. Ratings marked with an “*” are the fast affiliate ratings and will be updated with the Live+SD numbers when they are made available. Typically, networks get paid for C+3 ratings which includes DVR viewing within three days of the original airing when commercials are watched. Those numbers are rarely released to the press.
What do you think? Do you like the Allegiance TV series? Would you like to see it cancelled or renewed for a second season?
I found the Blacklist on Netflix and really enjoyed watching the first season. I am a fan of the Americans, however I don’t watch the show in its normal time slot nor do I dvr the show. I have begun to dvr Blacklist and Allegiance they make for great TV. For all thoughts people who try to poke holes in the story line, get a life. These shows are fictitious renditions of someone’s creative imagination. While art often imitates life, it’s still only an imitation. They are like superhero movies without the extra ordinary super power. These shows are for… Read more »
I really like this show and hope that NBC can renew this series.
Canceled.
I love this show. My favorite show this year!!!
I think this show is AMAZING! I know that my opinion won’t matter but PLEASE don’t cancel it.
Allegiance is to blame for the end of Parenthood??
I like Allegiance, I hope NBC allows a second season.
I like the show allegiance. Give it a chance
My husband keeps asking if we should be watching this show and I keep telling him that I won’t ever watch and I am thinking of taking the BlackList off of our DVR as well. NBC does a great job of picking real winners and taking off quality FAMILY shows like Parenthood. Might have done better in an earlier timeslot or on a different day but It was my #1 show ever but of course I am in the dreaded demographic of over 50 so what I feel just doesn’t count with NBC executives who make tv viewing decisions. Although… Read more »
Totally agree with you girlfriend. Parenthood was an awesome show, too bad they cancelled it.
Moving aside the thematic affinities with The Americans, a far more complex, well written, richer show, taken at face value, Allegiance is quite superficial, requiring monumental suspension of disbelief even in small incidents during plot, not to mention the basic threatened disaster premise. The plot lines are full of holes, e.g., mother takes the card-key to Alex’s room from his coat pocket and puts it behind a transparent!!! flower bowl for papa to pick up????? How is the card-key going to find its way back to Alex??? is mother will be going back up to the room with Alex???? (pretty… Read more »
Your a turkey, stop nitpicking every little detail! It’s supposed to be entertainment, not fact!
Richard, entertaining thrillers don’t ask us to be STUPID. Suspend disbelief yes, but cleverly, please.
Another NBC flop
Allegiance looks promising but I really don’t know if those numbers holds up in the coming weeks.
this is not a good program ..
.bring back Reckless
Lots of potential here, high interest and well written. I can’t wait to see what happens!
I don’t care if this is the BEST EVER program…I nor anyone in my family will watch this show as it took over for our beloved program PARENTHOOD!!! I will not allow anyone to even watch it and am hesitant to watch any NBC programming at all in our home anymore. I also saw the ratings and it didn’t do any better than Parenthood ever did and this was the show’s debut episode!!!
To say that you won’t ever watch one program because it “replaced” a beloved one is just being close minded. You might miss out on what might be even better than Parenthood but you’ll never know. I enjoyed Parenthood the first few seasons but the last three years it started to tank. The producers couldn’t figure out where they wanted the characters to go. They ran out of ideas and kept the same themes running in a circle. How many times did we have to watch Kristina and Adam have a talk with Max in his bedroom? Every time they… Read more »
This is a FANTASTIC well written show. We will keep watching.
Ouch a 1.1 to start off with. Makes me wonder if I should make the effort to watch the show having taped it last night since I doubt it will rise in the ratings, so likely will not be renewed.
I think that’s a good plan. Crisis – SoA- Allegiance. NBC just keeps getting worse with Blacklist spy thriller follow ups
