Angie Tribeca will be back for more. According to The Hollywood Reporter, TBS has renewed the comedy series for a third season.
The sitcom stars Rashida Jones as Angie Tribeca, a detective working with the LAPD on very serious cases. The cast also includes Hayes MacArthur, Jere Burns, Deon Cole, and Andrée Vermeulen.
In the middle of it second season, Angie Tribeca has been performing somewhat poorly in the ratings. So far, it’s received an average of .27 in the 18-49 demo and 605,000 viewers. Nevertheless, TBS remains committed to the new series, hoping to build a fanbase.

A year ago we began reinventing TBS, and thanks to the incredible talent behind these shows, we’ve come a long way in a very short amount of time. Pulling the trigger on renewals early allows us to build on our success by giving fans new seasons more quickly.”

This is one of those rare comedies that truly make you laugh almost constantly. In the same vein as all the good spoof comedies, such as “Airplane”, a true classic, Angie Tribeca exceeds them all. Please continue this series. It will continue to bring laughs and joy to anyone that watches this wonderful show. Fresh & funny! Unlike anything else currently running. So much packed into every episode. I love the marathons! Seemingly endless number of new & funny parodied references. Extremely talented cast.
So true. My daughter and I were just talking about the show when a bank robbery instructed Angie to take her partner out – and he just meant to a nice dinner! We love this show!!!!!

It is so nice to have a choice on the idiot box relentless sight gags and determined nonsense. Procedural detective shows are ubiquitous, overblown and take themselves so seriously. Take em down!

I LOVE this show. Seriously. The word play plus the sight gags make this THE show to watch when you simply want to laugh. And Hoffman? The scene when he peels out in the squad car?? I laughed so hard I cried!! I hope this show gets renewed for many more seasons.
